Who entered the Library?
Tricia van Dyke, the ex-best friend
Tricia. Her best friend from the time they'd met in kindergarten until-- until she came out. The girl who broke her heart and made her life a living hell.
Once they'd bonded over shared loss -- Tricia, the half-Asian orphan adopted and raised by the big blonde van Dykes, Jenna over growing up without a father. When Tricia was teased for her ethnicity or her name, Jenna was always there for her, especially once she realized the teasing applied to her. That made it hurt all the more when Tricia wasn't there for Jenna when the redhead needed her most.
Maybe it was because of the name. Maybe the teasing made Tricia homophobic, or maybe it made her so afraid of bullies that she sided with them just to stop being a target. Maybe she was a social climber and would do anything to get in good with Rachel's crowd. There was a time Jenna would have done almost anything to get in good with Rachel, But not that. Not betray a friend.
Maybe Tricia was just a bitch.
"Make her your bitch."
Jenna reached for the Idol, then stopped. Maybe the best **** against Tricia would be to leave her straight until the whole school had turned. Let her experience the alienation, let her feel how Jenna had felt ever since Tricia yanked her out of the closet and into the vipers' nest that was high school.
Or would that make Jenna as bad as the mean girls she was trying to bring down? The Idol was the greatest gift she could imagine... but were they brought together for revolution, or ****?
Does Jenna let Tricia go or try to turn her? Or does Miriam step in?
