Chapter 3: Can I Role Play With You?
Continued from chapter 2:
"Spank therapy isn't a clinical term," she says, her tone dry but not unkind. She lets that land, allowing me to hear the distinction between a psychological need and a physical act. "But I understand what you're asking. You're looking for a way to experience this without the risk of emotional exposure or the messiness of a personal relationship."
She watches me closely, her gaze unwavering.
"Yes, please," I say softly.
She holds my gaze. For a moment, she doesn't answer. She lets the request hang in the room, heavy and expectant. I can feel her processing, weighing the boundary I'm asking her to cross against the vulnerability I've just exposed.
"I can't give you a referral for that," she says, her voice level and factual. She doesn't apologize; she simply states it as a boundary. "My role isn't to facilitate the act itself. My role is to help you understand why you want it, and how to integrate it into your life without it feeling like a source of humiliation."
She pauses, watching me carefully. The silence stretches between us.
"I... I just don't want to," I say. "I'm not ready for that yet. I just want to be spanked. As an adult. To see what it would feel like."
Chapter 3:
She sees the retreat. I'm backing away from the psychological work, retreating into the immediate, visceral hunger of the impulse. Without pushing me back into the deep end, she acknowledges this shift with a softness in her voice.
"Okay," she says, dropping half a register. It's a soft landing. "We don't have to dive into the 'why' today if you're not ready. We can just sit with the 'what'."
She rests her hands in her lap, perfectly still. The silence that follows is different now—less tense, more contemplative. She's giving me permission to exist in this space with my desire, without needing to justify it or solve it immediately.
"You're describing a curiosity," she continues. "A desire to explore a sensation you haven't experienced."
"Can you... coach me on how that goes?" I ask. "I know you're not going to actually spank me here, but could you help me navigate how I would set those boundaries? Negotiate terms?"
She nods slowly, a genuine acknowledgment of my pivot. I'm moving from raw impulse to the mechanics of agency, which registers as progress—a way of reclaiming control over something that feels overwhelming.
"Yes," she says, and there's a hint of warmth in her voice now, a subtle approval of my approach. "I can certainly help you with that. Navigating consent, setting boundaries, and negotiating terms is a vital part of any healthy sexual exploration. It's actually a very practical skill."
She adjusts her position, sitting more upright, her mind shifting into a more structured mode of engagement. She's treating this with the same seriousness she would apply to any other interpersonal dynamic.
"If you were to approach someone—whether it's a professional or a potential partner—you wouldn't start with the act itself," she says.
"Can I roleplay this with you?" I ask. "Just to practice saying the words? Where do I even begin?"
She stills. The suggestion hangs in the air, vibrating with a new kind of tension. She doesn't blink. She doesn't dismiss it. She processes the request with the same analytical rigor she applies to everything else, weighing the therapeutic utility against the inherent risk of blurring the lines.
The silence lasts several seconds. In that time, she observes me—my posture, the way I'm bracing myself for rejection, the sheer vulnerability of the proposition.
"Roleplaying a negotiation is a valid technique," she says, her voice calm and utterly devoid of flirtation. She is framing this strictly as a tool, a simulation. "It allows you to test the weight of your own words in a controlled environment."
She leans back slightly, creating a bit of mental distance, even as she prepares to step into the exercise.
"Okay, what do I say?" I ask. "Something like, 'Hi, I'm Eros Apostasia. I'm here for my spanking'? That sounds terrible."
She lets out a short, dry breath—not quite a laugh, but a release of tension. It's the first time she's broken her composure since I arrived, and it grounds the moment, making it feel less like a looming catastrophe and more like a learning curve.
"It sounds a little blunt," she agrees, her voice returning to its usual unhurried pace. "Like you're ordering a coffee. If you walk in and lead with the transaction, you're skipping the most important part: establishing rapport and safety."
She shifts her weight, settling into the role of the person I'm approaching. She doesn't adopt a false persona; she simply becomes the recipient of my inquiry, maintaining her natural presence.
"Try again," she says.
I take a breath. "Hi, my name is Ero. I'm interested in... well... exploring the world of spanking. Is that something you offer here?"
She maintains her posture, her expression neutral and observant. She is testing the way I handle the initial hurdle of admission, watching for the tremor in my voice or the way I avoid eye contact. When I finish, she responds within the framework of the roleplay, adopting the persona of a provider—professional, clear, and boundaried.
"Hello, Eros," she says. "Thank you for being direct about your interests. Yes, I am familiar with that particular dynamic. Before we discuss specifics, I always start by asking my clients what their goals are. Are you looking for a regular arrangement, a one-time experience, or are you primarily interested in exploring the psychological aspects of power exchange?"
"Ummm, yes..." I hesitate. "How does it all work? I... I don't know what questions to even ask."
