Mr. Dewitt's Rent Deal
Old Landlord strikes deal with 18 year old tenant
The knock echoed in the narrow hallway, a soft sound against the heavy oak door. My knuckles still tingled from the impact. The dim light from the single bulb above me cast long shadows, and I shifted my weight from one foot to the other, the worn carpet scratching my bare toes.
The door swung open. Mr. Dewitt stood there, tall and slightly stooped, his glasses catching the faint glow. A paunch pressed against his plaid button-down. His eyes, pale blue behind the lenses, swept over me once, then settled on my face.
“Stacy,” he said. Not a question.
“Mr. Dewitt.” My voice came out thinner than I wanted. “I’m sorry to bother you so late. I… I need to talk about the rent.”
He stepped aside, gesturing with one hand. “Come in.”
The apartment smelled of old books and something faintly spicy—maybe the tea on the side table. The living room was dim, just a single lamp burning on a mahogany desk. Dark wood shelves lined the walls, packed with leather-bound volumes. A worn armchair sat opposite a small sofa. I stood in the center of the rug, clutching the strap of my bag.
He closed the door with a soft click.
“Sit,” he said, lowering himself into the armchair. His knees popped.
I sat on the edge of the sofa, hands gripping my thighs. The fabric of my jeans felt too tight, too warm. I took a breath.
“My dad lost his job last week,” I said. “I don’t have the full amount for this month. I’m short four hundred. I was hoping… maybe we could work out a payment plan? I can pick up extra shifts at the library next semester, but right now—”
He raised a hand. The gesture was slow and deliberate. “You’re a good tenant, Stacy. Quiet. Never any trouble. I’d like to help.”
My chest loosened a fraction.
“But I’m not running a charity.” He leaned forward, elbows on his knees. The lamp light caught the silver in his hair. “I have a different arrangement in mind. One that could solve both our problems.”
The air in the room thickened. My fingers dug into my jeans.
“What kind of arrangement?” My voice barely carried.
“You’re an attractive young woman.” He said it simply, like a fact, without heat. “I’m an old man who doesn’t get much company. I’d like your company. Intimately.” His eyes held mine. “You come here once a week. I’ll waive your rent for the semester. No money changes hands. You say yes or no right now. No pressure.”
Pressure pressed down on my chest anyway. The couch cushion felt like it was swallowing me. My mouth went dry.
“I…” The word stuck. A week ago I was worried about a biology exam. Now this. But the alternative was eviction. Sleeping in my car. Dropping out.
“You’ll be safe,” he added quietly. “I’m not a cruel man. I know what I’m doing. I’ll take care of you.”
I stared at the weave of the rug. Red and gold threads intertwining. Red like my hair. Gold like the lamp light.
“Okay,” I whispered. The word tasted foreign.
He stood, slow, and extended a hand. I took it. His palm was dry and warm, the skin roughened with age. He pulled me to my feet.
“Good girl.” He released my hand and gestured toward the hallway. "The bedroom's this way. We’ll start tonight.”
My legs moved. I told them to. The hallway was narrow, the walls lined with framed photographs—black and white, landscapes, and a woman’s face I didn’t recognize. The bedroom door was open. A double bed with a plain blue quilt. A nightstand with a single lamp. The curtains were drawn.
He flicked the lamp on. Low light. Soft shadows.
“Undress,” he said, not harshly. “Just the top first. I want to see you.”
My fingers fumbled with the buttons of my blouse. Cotton slipped through my hands. The third button took two tries. I pulled the blouse open and let it fall from my shoulders. The air hit my skin. My bra was simple white cotton, a bit too small. My nipples tightened against the fabric.
He stepped closer. “Take that off too.”
I reached behind my back, unclasped, and let the straps slide down. The bra fell. My breasts were pale, freckled across the tops, and my nipples—pink, almost coral—stood out. I saw him look. His breath didn’t change.
“You’re lovely,” he said. A statement. No hunger in his voice, just observation. “Now the jeans.”
I toed off my sneakers, unbuttoned, and pushed the denim down my hips. The zipper scraped. I stepped out of them. Standing in just my panties. Pale pink cotton. The dampness between my legs was already starting—humiliation or anticipation, I couldn’t tell.
“Lie on the bed,” he said.
I moved to the edge and lay back. The quilt was soft beneath my shoulders. He sat beside me, the mattress dipping. His hand came to rest on my stomach, palm flat, through my panties. I flinched. He didn’t remove it.
“Breathe,” he murmured. “Slow. In and out.”
I tried. His hand stayed still, just warm weight on my belly. Then it began to move, a slow circle, fingers grazing the fabric. My muscles tensed, then softened against my will. The circles widened, dipping lower, brushing the edge of my panties.
“I’m going to touch you now,” he said. “If it’s too much, tell me to stop. But I don’t think you will.”
His fingers hooked the waistband and pulled the cotton down. The air hit my thighs. I squeezed my eyes shut. The fabric slid past my knees and my ankles. I was bare. Completely.
His hand returned, fingers moving through my pubic hair, stroking with a gentleness that surprised me. A single finger grazed my folds, finding the wetness already pooling there.
“You’re ready,” he said. Approval in his tone.
I opened my eyes. He was watching my face, not my body.
“I’m going to put my mouth on you now. You might not like it at first. That’s okay. Let yourself feel it.”
He lowered his head. His breath warmed my inner thigh. Then his lips parted, and his tongue found me—slow, wide, tasting. A shudder ripped through my spine. My hips jerked. His hands pressed my thighs apart, holding me open.
The first stroke was tentative, exploring. Then his tongue flattened and pressed hard against my clit, and I gasped. A sound I didn’t recognize. His mouth worked in rhythms—circles, flicks, and a steady suction that pulled at something deep in my belly.
My hands fisted in the quilt. I stared at the ceiling, at the water stain in the corner. The pleasure built in layers, each one unexpected, each one stronger. His tongue found a spot that made my back arch, a stutter of pressure that sent electricity through my knees.
I tried to resist. I told myself this was a transaction, a price. But the wet sound of his mouth, the heat pooling between my legs, the involuntary clench of my inner muscles—my body was betraying me.
“Oh God,” I breathed.
He didn’t stop. His nose pressed into my skin, his chin slick. A second hand cupped my breast, thumb rubbing over my nipple in rough circles. The dual sensations tangled. My hips started to roll, chasing his mouth.
The orgasm rose from somewhere I hadn’t known existed—a pressure, a swelling that demanded release. I tried to hold it back, to stay in control, but his tongue was relentless, humming against me, and the wave crested without permission.
I cried out. Not a word, just sound. My vision blurred. My thighs clamped around his head, but he didn’t pull away. He kept licking, softer now, drawing out the aftershocks until I collapsed, trembling, into the mattress.
He lifted his head, mouth glistening. A smile—warm, not triumphant—touched his lips.
“That was just the beginning,” he said. “Roll onto your stomach. I want you on your knees.”
