Continue talking with Ms. Lamb

With a quick glance behind Ms. Lamb's shoulder, Xander saw that Amber was still trying to calm Jessica down and now Lily had joined her on attempting that. He figured then that it was best if he kept chatting with his teacher while the girls resolved whatever issue they were having.

"Somewhere else besides the Coliseum, Ms. Lamb?" He asked. "There's a lot of interesting places to go."

Rosie nodded enthusiastically. "Indeed there is, Xander, but we haven't planned the itinerary that far yet," The teacher explained, taking a sip of her glass. "Although, I think you students want to know most about places which the love-struck couples can enjoy the views and each others' company, don't you?"

Xander chuckled at the teacher's question. "Well, Ms. Lamb," He said, scratching the back of his neck. "Good luck finding any love-struck couple around here, everyone is either single or recently split from their boyfriend-slash-girlfriend."

"Weren't you dating Ms. Newman?" Rosie asked. "Not that I like to intrude on my students' love lives."

"You're not intruding at all," Xander replied. "To answer your question, no, we aren't dating anymore. We agreed that a long-distance relationship wasn't going to work for us once we headed for college."

"Well, Xander, if you want my opinion," Rosie said, smiling at her student. "That can be either a smart decision or a very dumb one, depending on your feelings."

"I know what you mean, we weren't certain, but it'll probably be for the best," Xander admitted, briefly glancing at Lily talking to the other two girls. "But how about you, Ms. Lamb, your boyfriend didn't want to come? If I'm not intruding, of course."

Rosie smiled. "He wanted to, but this is a trip strictly for students of our school. Only teachers, Mr. Hunter or the Principal himself could've come."

"Shame, you'll probably lose a lot on those places for love-struck couples you were talking about." Xander joked.

Ms. Lamb chuckled. "Nonsense, I like doing my job, which is watching every one of you closely." She replied in a slightly joking tone.

"I'm glad it was you, it could've been any teacher, but you were the one who came with us," Xander admitted. "Everyone loves you, Ms. Lamb."

The teacher actually blushed at her student's praise. "Stop saying things like that, Mr. Evans," She smiled at him. "Like I said, I just do my job, but I'm glad every one of you appreciates it."

At that moment, some shouting could be heard coming from outside and Lily immediately got out of the room. Xander raised an eyebrow while Rosie frowned.

"What was that?" The teacher asked.

Xander shrugged. "No clue."

The door then opened and in marched Lily, Molly and an angry-looking Danny. When the three of them were inside, Lily closed the door again.
