An embarrassing day of college

On an unassuming day at Kyoto University, Haru found herself tapping her pencil against her desk as her professor began her lecture for the morning.

She was approaching her final year of college, which both excited Haru, but also made her nervous. She’d been studying business for 3 years up to that point, with a minor in botany since she had enough school time to peruse it. Her goal, or at least her original goal, was to eventually take over Big Bang Burger with her college degree and experience and reshape the company image.

But now that she was close to the end, she started to have her doubts. All she’s learned was building connections and tactics her father would have used when he was alive, when he would **** his workers and jack up prices of the sake of profits.

Haru felt disheartened by her business degree, but it was far too late for her to switch careers now. Besides, she made a promise to wrangle the reigns of the company after she graduated, so she has the pressure of her future employees and stockholders weighing her down even more.

As her professor continued to talk ad noisome about shareholder value, Haru began to daydream of a simpler life, a life where she could just grow her crops and run a rustic cafe. Gardening always made Haru happy, as it usually allowed her to be by herself, to enjoy the simple pleasures whilst dropping the need to impress others or act polite.

But alas, her dreams were nothing but empty promises of a better world as she laid uncomfortably in the rut she created for herself.
