Follow her inside

You enter after her and make your way up the stairs and into the main office.
You're surprised to find the place deserted as you're sure that there should be someone working the night shift but it looks like everyone has packed up and gone home.
As you look around the room you can't see the woman you were following anywhere and start to question your sanity,maybe the beer and pills were a little too much.

"Can I help you?"

The voice from behind you scares the hell out of you and you visibly jump.

"I'm sorry" the voice continues "I didn't mean to startle you"

You turn around to see who caused you to look like an idiot and you see

"Er..um..er" you stumble over your words like a tongue tied child
"Around here we usually say hello" the woman smiles "I'm Agent Carter" she says,extending her hand.
"I'm...er.."
"I know who you are" she replies as you shake her hand "You're the new Agent who got chewed out by Dooley this morning,am I correct?"
"Yes M'aam" you nod "That'd be me"
"Well don't worry about it too much" Agent Carter says letting your hand drop and returning to her desk "Dooley's an idiot,as are most of the men that work here"

As she turns her back to you and walks back to her seat you suddenly realize that you've seen that wiggle somewhere before.

"Wait a minute,I know you" the belief in your voice seems to stop Agent Carter in her tracks and as you check her out even closer you're 100% convinced that you're right.
"Oh really?" Agent carter says over her shoulder,not an ounce of waiver in her voice "And where would that be from?"
"The Stark Mansion" you reply.
"You must be mistaken" Agent Carter replies,turning to face you and batting her eyelashes.
"Not a chance" you say "You're the woman I saw"
"And what makes you so sure?" Agent Carter asks,narrowing her gaze.
"Trust me" you smile "I'd never forget an ass like yours in a million years"
A slight flush appears on her face as she dips her head ever so slightly.
"But what I don't understand" you say "Is what an S.S.R Agent would be doing at the home of a known traitor? You sure weren't out there on official business,Dooley told me straight that The Stark Mansion was a complete bust,so if you weren't out there for that then what were you doing?"
Agent Carter sighs,looks at you and then walks over to her desk.
"Look" she replies,leaning back against it "I have reason to believe that Howard Stark is innocent but,well,you've met Dooley,there's no way I could go to him with this and,trust me, the rest of the Agent's here aren't any better,so I've been looking into the case on my own time."
"So let me get this straight" you say,working it over in your mind "You,an S.S.R Agent are convinced that one of America's Most Wanted is actually innocent so you're sneaking around trying to,what,find the truth?"
"Pretty much" she nods
"And how's that working out for you?"
"Not great at the moment" she replies "I've got a few leads but nothing I can use to prove that this is all the work of someone other than Howard Stark"
"Hmmmm" you ponder "To be honest Agent Carter,it sounds to me that there's more to this than meets the eye"
"How do you mean?"
"Well" you say as you walk to the desk opposite of her and perch yourself upon it "You say that you're trying to prove his innocence but you claim to have nothing solid to show that he isn't responsible for all the destruction and chaos that's been going on around these parts,that sounds like one flimsy excuse too me.No Agent Carter I think that all this sneaking around,not telling anyone what you're doing,,means that you're actually working for Stark.If I had to put money on it I'd say you're in cahoots with a traitor."
A flash of anger crosses Agent Carter's face.
"I am NOT a traitor and neither is Howard Stark" she denies with a large amount of venom.
"Well that's not how it seems to me" you reply "It's all a little too cloak and dagger,surely you must see how it looks?"
"I suppose I do" she says regaining her composure "but I can promise you,I'm one of the good guys,I'm just trying to help an old friend restore his life"
"I don't know" you shake your head "Maybe I should go to the Chief with this,let him figure out what to do"
"Do you have to?" she asks "Isn't there someway I could convince you to keep our little secret?"
