A hooded man.

A man stands directly in front of her at the foot of the stairs. He wears a shimmering white robe with a hood pulled over his face.

“Who the hell are you?” Kim demands, trying to sound as tough as she can.

“My name is Dell. I have been looking for you for a very long time.” A very calm and smooth voice answers from within the hood.

“Yeah, I don’t care, you get your ass out of here or I’m calling the cops.” Kim turns to get the phone, but when she does Dell is standing in her path.

“Please, there is no need for alarm. I doubt that I could hurt you if I wanted to.” Dell says.

“What the…How did you do that? Nevermind, get out of my house!” Kim screams.

“Kimmy, I am going to come straight to the point.” Dell casts off his hood and Kim is surprised to see a pair of bright purple eyes staring at her. “You are at a higher stage of human evolution, specifically you are more advanced sexually. Now that you are entering true womanhood, your abilities will truly take over.”

“Nice contacts.” Kim says sarcastically. “The story could use a little work though.”

“I assure you these are my real eyes and that you are the one I have been looking for. Haven’t you noticed that you seem to get along better with men than woman, that men seem to like you, but never try anything that makes you uncomfortable? It is because you influence them very subtly using your heightened sexual control.”

Kim considered what he said. It was true that men seemed very…the best word would be pliable, around her. Woman seemed to resent her for some reason she could never figure out. “Well, what you say is true, I should be able to use my “heightened sexual control’ to get you to leave.”

“I have been trained by others like you to resist your charms.” Dell said. “I represent a group of people like us, who are more evolved most others in the human race.”

“What? You mean like the X-men?”

“Vaguely, nobody has claws or can create ice, but we all have at least one facet of our natural abilities that are far beyond those of an average human. Yours is your sexuality. Mine are my reflexes and speed.”

“What’s with the hooded robe?” Kim asked.

“It’s just for dramatic effect, sorry.” Dell takes off the robe to reveal sneakers, blue jeans, and an Oakland Raiders t-shirt.”

“So what do you want with me?”

“We want to train you to use your abilities. If you don’t learn to control them properly, you could end up getting hurt.”

“Really?” Kim says. She puts her hands on her hips and walks provocatively towards Dell. “I though you said you couldn’t hurt me?”

Beads of sweat start to form on Dell’s forehead. “I mean that you could be…I mean…sorry...” Dell seems to be having a hard time concentrating, “Your sexuality is not yet at it’s peak. You only have a small portion of what you will have. Without training, you will not be able influence men at that time, they will be overpowered by lust. I think you can see the dangers in that.”

Kim looked at Dell. If she did have power, could she ‘influence’ him and break his will? Maybe she should try.
