What happens when she returns to the aquarium?
New experience
The two days of "rest" had passed like a slow fever. The marks on Magi's body had faded, but the memory of the pain and humiliation remained fresh. Crossing the aquarium doors to resume her shift, she felt the air thicken around her. The smell of chlorine and salt water was no longer familiar; it was the scent of her prison.
May was waiting for her in the main changing room, leaning against the lockers with her usual expression of cold impatience.
"You. My office. Now," she said, without preamble.
Magi followed her, her heart pounding. A new punishment? Or simply a return to the routine of humiliation?
In the office, May closed the door and turned to her.
"Your recovery period is over. And I have something new for you. Something that will elevate your... artistic value," she said, with a smile that didn't reach her eyes. "The aquarium is opening a new exhibition: 'Urban Sirens.' A cylindrical acrylic tank, in the main lobby. Visible from the street."
Magi held her breath. A tank in the lobby. Visible to everyone.
"And you," May continued, "will be the first siren. But not with just any tail. You will be a living work of art. Bodypainting. Art on skin. The costume will be painted onto you, including the tail." She paused, enjoying the panic that must have been reflected on Magi's face. "It's an immersive experience. Visitors will see the art evolve, the siren interact... and through the glass, the city will bear witness."
"It will be an honor," May said, but her tone was one of condemnation. "A renowned local artist will paint you every day. Different themes. Abyssal flora today, constellations tomorrow..." Her gaze became penetrating. "And you must hold the pose. For hours. Any movement ruins the artwork. Any sign of discomfort... spoils the illusion."
Magi imagined the endless hours immobile in the cold water, her naked body serving as a canvas, the paint running if she sweated or moved, the eyes of passersby and visitors glued to her painted body. She would be a living statue, trapped in a grotesque and cold beauty.
"There is one condition," May said, moving closer. "The bodypainting will cover... everything. But the artist is a man of intense passions." Her smile became a blade. "Sometimes, art requires... adjustments. Final touches. And he might need certain areas to be exposed to achieve the desired effect. Or for you to move in a certain way."
Magi felt the floor give way. It wouldn't just be about being painted and observed. She would be fondled under the guise of art, exposed even more intimately, **** into positions that the "artist" decided, all under the approving gaze of May and the audience.
"He has a vision," May continued. "And we trust his process. Of course, if you refuse... we can always go back to the roulette wheel. The one with the physical punishments. The choice is yours: to be a work of art... or a punching bag."
The choice was not a choice. It was between two kinds of violation: one aesthetic and public, the other brutal and private.
May handed her a promotional brochure. On the cover, a female silhouette painted with vibrant colors swam in a tank, her body blending with the water and the marine scenes. Below it read: "Urban Siren: Art Comes Alive. Immersive Experience at the Metropolitan Aquarium."
"Your debut is tomorrow," May said. "The painting starts at 5:00 AM. Don't be late. And rest well." Her smile was the most terrifying thing of all. "You're going to need to be relaxed for the brush."
Magi left the office with the crumpled brochure in her hand. She looked towards the main lobby. Where there had once been a statue, there was now an empty space, ready to be used with the tank, with the water, with her.
It was not a new job. It was a new prison. And this time, the bars would be made of glass and the guards would be the eyes of the entire city.
How is her day going in the new experience?

Under the Surface
Chronicle of a Humiliation
Magi is a solitary and reserved young woman who prefers the company of books to people's company. With her untamable black hair, faint freckles, and loose-fitting clothes, she projects an image of practicality and comfort. Her large green eyes, though curious, avoid eye contact, revealing her introverted nature. Despite her serene appearance, a deep disquiet haunts her, anticipating an imminent and inevitable change that threatens to shatter the fragile balance of her quiet life.
