As she approached her desk in the corner, she saw David, her tutor, waiting there. He stood in his habitual posture, upright, shoulders hunched forward as if he wanted to make himself smaller than he was. He held his notepad in his hand and tapped it with quick fingers.

“Ah, Emily,” he said when he noticed her, without looking up. “We have a few options for you.” His voice sounded distant and professional—still.Then he looked up and for a split second his eyes glazed over. Until now, he had only known her with a high-necked blouse and tie. But since Kevin's visit, she had opened her neckline so wide that her cleavage was impossible to miss. Too daring? No, certainly not for her taste. But maybe a little too conspicuous. She sat down and crossed her legs in a deliberately casual manner.

David's eyes were glued to the swelling curves of her breasts until he was able to tear himself away. He turned back to his notepad, wanting to say something. But only a squeak came out of his mouth. Embarrassed, he cleared his throat, after that his voice sounded reasonably normal again.

“I can give you a quick introduction to your workplace, we could stop by accounting, or I can introduce you to the department head right away. There's a slot open in his calendar in the next half hour.”

Emily tilted her head and thought about it. Teasing David to the **** could be really fun. His inner struggle to keep his eyes where they belonged was too obvious and almost comical. The idea of teasing him—and maybe more—made that warm, eerie tingling sensation under her skin return.

On the other hand, he would be a nice toy, but too insignificant to really advance her career. So maybe go straight to the department head?
