Chapter 17
by jealco
Can she? Can she abandon this man to his fate?
She has to try
Venus couldn't simply condemn the man to dying like that. She was a Shadow Hunter. Killing monsters is what she did, even if she wasn't really equipped for it.
Swearing quietly, Venus racked her mind for options. Her sword was all but useless, unless she could find a way to the Treant's head. That plan was quickly dismissed, however, as the only reliable way to do that was an ambush from a tree. Her gaze swept the road, searching for something, anything, to give her an option.
Her gaze settled on something shiny lying in the middle of the road, next to the dead man. Among his scattered gear lay a bottle of lantern oil. A burst of inspiration hit her. Casting about, she found a branch that would be suitable for a torch. She then stood and ran to the bottle of oil. Crouching next to it, she dropped her pack, digging her firestarting gear out. Stripping off the remnants of her shirt, she tore it into strips, binding them around the branch, then grabbed the oil. Fingers shaking, she pulled the cap off, then doused the bound end of the torch in oil. Grabbing her firestarting kit, she frantically flicked her flint and steel together, until the torch ignited.
Impromptu weapon in one hand, sword in the other, Venus sprang to her feet and sprinted after the Treant, heedless of the branches and debris on the ground. Stones and branches stabbed into her bare soles, but she ignored the pain, focused on one goal, and one goal only: stabbing the torch into the most flammable spot she could reach. Hopefully, it would be enough.
When she was about thirty feet behind the Treant, her foot hit another branch, this one snapping beneath her foot. The Treant momentarily slowed in it's pursuit of the last man, it's head turning her way. Two massive yellow eyes stared at her from a gnarled spot towards the top of it's trunk, an enormous mouth opening in a jagged smile beneath it. Venus narrowed her eyes and bored in.
Suddenly, several vines lashed out from the Treant's body, streaking towards Venus with astonishing speed. Her finely-honed reflexes let her catch first one, then two with her sword, the flashing blade neatly cutting them to pieces, but it wasn't enough. Another one caught her left wrist, squeezing with such **** she nearly dropped the torch in pain. She twisted, her sword slashing down at the vine around her wrist, before another vine caught her right ankle, yanking her off balance. She slammed into the ground on her back, losing her grip on both her sword and the torch, as more vines grabbed her other wrist and ankle.
Venus struggled futilely against the vines, writhing back and forth, as the Treant hoisted her into the air. As it brought her to face-level with it, she saw it's eyes staring not at her face, but at her breasts, bouncing and slapping back and forth with her exertions. The Treant's smile grew.
Venus stared back at it, trying to keep her fear from her face. More vines reached out, one to wrap itself securely around her waist, more to flick at her nipples and massage her breasts. Shocked, Venus froze, then moaned at the ministrations of the the vines. Her nipples hardened into little nubs, and her pussy responded in kind, a trickle of her juices dampening the crotch of her pants.
The Treant simply stood there, letting it's vines do the work, as it thought about what it had captured. The druids would be pleased with this girl. However, it would enjoy some time with her, too. The pesky woodsmen were nuisances. She would be entertaining.
