Traveling for business had it's gains and drawbacks for Jay Mikels, however, he did acquire good knowledge of cities he'd frequent, including his favorite for business and pleasure, New York. With that, came a string of eateries he'd patronize, including the centrally-located 160 House, a large, sports-themed restaurant and pub featuring, among a full menu and spirits, 160 brews.
"Soon as this day is done, I'm off to 160" Jay decided. "Baked salmon, maybe that PatchBrew beer, and see what games are on..I need this today" the business consultant envisioned. "Favorite place in this amazing city".
Entering 160 shortly before dinner hour, Jay settled in, chatted with the coming on shift bartender, an attractive, curly-haired woman of about 32, who stated her name as Melissa. As if her being so nice and beautiful wasn't enough, Jay loved the name Melissa. Something about names with double letters. Melissa, Holly, Alyssa, Kelly..Was so sexy to him.
Ordering his desired baked salmon, to Melissa's smile and "I lhuvv our salmon" response, he noticed the tap of PatchBrew covered, signaling, out. Next to it was "Rocking Cher", a darker brew. He'd try that.
Watching a basketball game on the 4-wide tv while waiting for his food and, admittedly enjoying this Rocking Cher, Jay also indulged in another sideline: People watching, including those coming in the door.
"Older guy, woman looks younger..He's probably paying her" he mused. "Group of three younger women..20's or so..Out in the city. Don't have a clue they're seen as tourists and easy marks" Jay opined. "Two guys, shirts and ties..Financial district" he was certain.
Then, as the baked salmon arrived and Melissa flashed her sweet smile, a gorgeous woman of Asian persuasion walked in, alone. Straight, jet-black hair, high, beautiful cheekbones, light green eyes, long, blue polished nails, and dressed for business with a touch of sexy.
"Wow..No way she sits anywhere near me..Women like that just..Don't. I get the dumpy one, the too young ones, or fat married couples..I never get THAT next to me..She's fantastic" Jay's mind raced. "How is she by herself? No guy? Coworkers? Body guard?"
To his surprise, the beautiful woman sat next to Jay, smiled, and settled in. The two chatted the usual, hi, how was your day talk, then she extended her tanned hand with the sensual, long, blue-nailed fingers.
"I'm Minnji, nice to meet you.." she greeted Jay. "Two n's, by the way..Don't ask, Even I don't know why".
"Jay, and very nice to meet you" he greeted her, touching her hand and thinking, not only is she gorgeous, but, Min-nji? Double letters? Whoever sent her, thank you.
"Hi, Jay..I'm just off of work. Looks like you are, too..I won't interrupt your dinner" Minnji advised, shifting her chair a hint towards Jay's.
Hurrying through his salmon in effort to devote full attention to Minnji, Jay cleaned his plate well before refocusing on her. His brain was still flying over someone like this sitting next to him. He was no slouch, but, this woman was above his pay grade.
"So, Minnji..Tell me about yourself" Jay asked, figuring they'd already had a basis.
Jay and Minnji get to know each other..
