Chapter 4 by paner paner

What's next?

In the morning

The morning had been relatively normal for Helena.

Although she would have liked to stay in bed longer and rest her biological clock,

which was highly accustomed to getting up early in the morning, it would not allow her to do so, so she had **** but to lift her alert and sticky body out of bed

and go straight to the shower.

The cold water hitting her body quickly brought her back to her senses, washing away all the suffocating stickiness.

Washing quickly, it didn't take her long to get ready to go out and do her exercise routine. Not before, of course, giving her husband a soft kiss on the cheek.

Helena had been enchanted watching her handsome husband sleep with his mouth half open.

The night before had been a torrent of all kinds of wildly scattered emotions, and it seemed unbelievable that now everything was so peaceful.

Now she felt deeply connected to the man and could feel the clear feeling of love.

Giving him another quick kiss on the cheek, she didn't allow herself to waste any more time and began her exercise routine as the sun was just beginning to rise.

Already accustomed to this rhythm, it didn't take her long to finish, and as she usually did after returning from jogging and exercising, she ate a bowl of oatmeal with fruit while watching the news.

She took a shower and changed into a light blue ribbed long-sleeved blouse and jeans and began to organize her schedule, all with plenty of time to pack her husband's breakfast.

They usually ate together, but Helena knew how exhausted he must be, so she didn't wake him up as she usually did.

Her suspicions were confirmed when Gab came running down the stairs, freshly out of the shower, disheveled and cursing himself for oversleeping.

Helena simply waited for him at the front door with his packed lunch, and they said goodbye gently with a long, intense kiss.

“What would I do without you, Helena...” Gab said as he walked out the door with a hurried smile.

“Who knows...” Helena replied with a soft purr as she wiped the corner of her mouth.

Gab turned around one last time before getting into his car. He was going to ask Helena to look for the helmet he had forgotten where he had left it the night before.

But at the last minute, he decided against it because he was in a hurry.

Helena then, after saying goodbye to her husband, finished her usual routine.

She tidied up the room because Gab obviously hadn't had time to do it, and shortly after finishing,

she was informed that her schedule for the day would be rescheduled. With nothing much to do, Helena was considering watching a movie when suddenly a wild

ringing in her ears invaded her, accompanied by a strong contraction of her muscles and a sudden loss of consciousness.

Still standing in the middle of her living room, Helena didn't realize when her consciousness went black.

POV ???

“It's not good for you to stay home all day! Go out for a while and get some fresh air!” said Mom, unusually, in a particularly strong tone.

“B-but Mom...” Gathering my courage, I tried to appease her, but I was pathetically interrupted.

“But nothing, Matt. For God's sake, you're 22 years old now. Don't you think it's time you started getting your life together?”

I lowered my head at her words. Although it bothered me a lot, I couldn't argue with her.

After a few long seconds of silence, I could hear a slight sigh escape from my mom's mouth.

“Look, son, I don't want to be hard on you, okay? I just want what's best for you, okay? You stay in your room all day, and that's not very healthy.”

Her gentle words of appeasement had an effect on me. Looking at my mother's dismayed face, I told her I would go out for a while, which seemed to give her some relief.

“I'll have your dinner ready for when you get back, sweetheart,” she said as I took my sweater and went out for a aimless walk around the neighborhood.

I could understand my mother's concern. I had never been the most popular kid; I mean, my obesity had always been a source of ridicule, but at least I could function better in society.

However, after a massive bullying campaign in my last years of high school that had shattered my already fragile self-esteem, the damage was done.

I had decided to isolate myself of my own accord. I mean, I was fine. I still had some friends on Discord, I was studying programming online, and I even had a girlfriend... although we had never met

since I had met her on a Discord server

but my mom was still worried. She was the “social animal” type, so she didn't understand me even when I told her I was fine.

While I was thinking about all this, time flew by and I was already on my way back home. It was quite late at night due to the long tug-of-war I had had with my mom earlier,

so most of the houses had their lights off. In the darkness of the night, already close to my house, I saw something strange.

From the neighbor's house next door, I saw the old homeless man who used to hang around the neighborhood coming out of his driveway with something in his hands.

His face had a sly smile, the kind you get when you know you've won something.

Suddenly, our eyes met, leaving us both paralyzed.

Nervousness invaded me from the pit of my stomach. Would this old bastard hurt me? A thousand scenarios ran through my head while my paralyzed self didn't know what to do.

However, I didn't have to do anything. The old man acted first. He threw whatever he had at me and ran away as if there were no tomorrow.

And for being so old, he seemed to be in good physical shape.

As I watched the old man walk away into the distance, I came to my senses. I somehow caught the object he had thrown at me, which turned out to be a kind of sophisticated helmet made of some kind of metal alloy.

I thought about returning it, but... the neighbors' house seemed unusually lonely.

I wanted to go home already. I decided to take the helmet with me. Tomorrow I could give it to my mom so she could return it and explain what had happened. That way I wouldn't have to get involved with the neighbors.

With that idea in mind and the strange helmet in my hand, I went home to have dinner and go to sleep.

* * *

“Ugh,” I groaned as the sunlight filtering through the opaque curtains in my room hit me right in the face.

I had stayed up late talking to Kira, my virtual girlfriend. The lethargy of insomnia, to which I had already become accustomed,

made me move slowly through my messy room.

As I moved around the house, still half asleep, looking for something to eat, I remembered the brief discussion I had had with Kira.

She insisted that since we had been in a serious relationship for two months, it would be a good idea to meet in person.

Seeing each other wouldn't be a big deal; we live in the same city, after all. But the main problem was...

that our entire relationship was based on a lie.

Kira and I had met on a server for a series of yuri novels that we were both fans of.

At first, my intention was to troll her by pretending to be a woman because I considered her a “normie.”

But as we talked more and more, my opinion of her gradually changed, and when I realized it, it was too late to clear up the lie.

I wanted to avoid disappointing her; after all, I had been lying to her and playing with her feelings.

I knew I wouldn't be able to keep up this attitude for long, as Kira was becoming more and more insistent in her resolve.

I tried to ignore the headache this situation was becoming and tried to eat my food.

After eating the breakfast/lunch my mom had left for me,

I looked again at the strange helmet that had fallen into my hands.

Mom had already gone to bed last night when I arrived, so I couldn't explain what had happened to her, plus she was leaving for work too early.

So I had left it lying in the dining room of the house.

While chewing my food, out of curiosity, I picked it up. It was quite light for its size and didn't look like anything I had seen before.

There were a couple of buttons on the side that didn't seem to do anything when I pressed them. I continued to play with it in my hand.

“Maybe it's junk from the neighbor,” I said as I put it on my head. I thought about maybe keeping it and decorating it with some video game theme. After all, I wasn't going to use it...

With the helmet on my head, it was impossible to see anything. While I wondered about the point of such a useless design, I pressed the first button again.

Suddenly, I felt a brief “fainting spell” attack my body, and then my vision returned.

A slight dizziness confused me for a second. Leaning against the nearest wall until the dizziness passed, I realized

something was different... Why was I standing when I remembered being seated? As I began to understand, I saw that I was in a room that was completely different from my home.

“What the...” I stopped as a soft voice came out of my mouth.

My hands flew to my throat as I said again, “WHAT THE HELL!” when I saw that it was ebony in color.

Taking a step back, I fell due to my body's new balance. I felt my butt bounce on the hard carpeted floor while in front of me two giant balloons appeared, bouncing vigorously.

“WHAT THE HELL!” I shouted for the third time, still not understanding what was happening.
