As the night moved on, spike found himself nervously pacing outside Rarity's house. This is what he been hoping for, he didn't excite it be her that made the first move, but he is excited, but now that it's happening, he can't help feel a mix of nerves and excitement, the pony he gas loved for years now finally giving him the chance .

He takes a deep breath, and opens the door and enters Rarity's house. It's dark except some candles dimly lighting the room with their flickering flames. Rarity was waiting, set at a table set for two. As spike approaches, he notices something is different about her. Her eyes seem to gleem in the candle light, and her mane, were seems more luscious, is slightly uneval.

Rarity's eys lock onto Spikes, her eyes piercing through the candle light. Rarity's usual elegance was overshadowed by a unsettling intensity. Her eyes seen to glow crimson and as ge gets closer, her hair seems to waver as though something moved underneath her mane.
