Keep playing, see where it's headed

It's a bit late to change your mind now, and you can only hope that Kate doesn't take your idea the wrong way. She does seem a little uneasy when you 'accidentally' win the first round, but then again; she's pretty much been that way since the first time you saw her...

"Now you're just hogging!" Rachel scolds you playfully as you're winning the second round as well, and though you know she's just teasing, you feel a bit awful when taking even more of those yellow tokens from her friend. It's even making you ponder if you should simply try and lose a few rounds on purpose, so that Kate can have some of them back again...

But then you notice a smile on the blonde girl's face, as she's handing you the tokens, and despite her anxiety it really seems like she's still enjoying the game. This puts you a little more at ease again, and you also decide that the red tokens you gain along with the others should well make it worth to keep winning those hands... (Better than losing at least, as you can't thrust Rachel not to come up with some embarrassing favour from you...)

At the third game you eventually lose again, and decide to hand over a few of Kate's tokens to Rachel instead of giving back hers or your own. That's when you notice something else however, as another expression passes for but a moment over the cute blonde's face, and you realize with sudden certainty that she'd rather have her tokens with you than in the hands of your housemate.

This little insight changes the game for you, and you decide that you'll try and play it a little different. Thus when you lose to her in the fourth round, you give her of Rachel's tokens instead of her own, and notice immediately how both girls shares a quick glance with eachother. This layout seems to suit them both - Rachel because she's greedy on favours, and Kate because she wants to 'win' over Rachel.

The last game of the round is won much too quickly though, with your lovely housemate gaining back just a few of her own tokens from each of her opponents, and thus you all decide to play another before starting on favours again.

This round is finally making the cardplaying itself more interesting again, as you're all betting pretty high on just the first two games. More tokens are quickly changing owners, and then some more with the third and fourth hand, until Rachel scores a win at the last - making poor Kate end up with the lowest amount of tokens left up till now.

"Sixteen yellow, not bad at all!" Smiles the busty brunette, and then looks to the piles of the others. "How many tokens did we have each by the way? I just grabbed all I found in that box..."

"Looks like forty." You tell her, with no trouble counting Kate's by now. With you having as many as eighteen of hers, she's down to as low as just six by now, while you've both regretfully lost most of your red ones to Rachel's last hand.

"And what happens when you run out...?" She asks, with that big grin back on her face again, and it's easy to see where she's headed with this. Without a doubt she's going for a big one with Kate, and the blonde can see it coming as well as you do - but surprisingly doesn't say or even hint at what she's thinking about it.
