Perhaps a game of some sort?

"Well, that was good!" Rachel commends your cooking, once she's finished her steak at last, while leaning herself back in her chair. You'd think she'd stop making all those silly insinuations by now, but instead you find her looking right at you with that mischievous little smile on her face. "So, what was that you said about play after eating...?"

"I didn't have anything particular in mind really..." You pass the question back to her, as you're still unsure of where she's actually going with all this. It's like she's trying to get something going between all three of you, but apparently without checking with either Kate or yourself if you're actually okay with it. And as for yourself, even if you are a bit curious to what a full evening with these two ladies could lead to, you're not one to push it with Kate while she doesn't seem much inclined to it at all.

"Oh, c'mon John!" Says your housemate, while getting out of her chair, and then head over to the fridge to start fixing a few things that you associate with a fully ordinary weekend evening. This makes you a little more relaxed at least, and you get up as well to clean the table while Rachel and Kate start carrying bowls of crisps and dip into the livingroom, along with quite a few cans of beer.

"So, did you come up with something to do yet...?" You ask as you join them in the livingroom a few minutes later, where you find them allready browsing your collection of movies and various video games. "I guess we're not back to watching any of those soap operas again, then?"

"Well, we could if you want to!" Rachel teases you, and laughs at the face you make in return.

"This doesn't look too bad!" Says Kate, and seems to have picked one of your boxes on random. Apparently she too would agree that just about anything would be better than what you were watching before supper. "The Hangover? Isn't that one of your favourites, Rachel?"

"Mmmm, yeah..." She agrees, while sharing a quick glance with yourself. You'd almost forgotten it by now, but that's kind of where your relationship with her started for real just a few weeks ago. Somehow it does feel weird to be watching it again so soon though, and it seems like Rachel agrees as she's shaking her head at Kate. "Oh, okay? How about this one then?"

"Maverick?" You say, as you have a look over her shoulder. She must've found it in one of your bottom shelves, as you didn't remember actually owning it. "Well, it's pretty good..."

"Or... We could just have a game of cards instead...?" Rachel suggests, though she doesn't actually seem to mind just watching the movie. "I haven't played cards for ages!"

"Fair enough." You agree, as it could be more interesting than watching a movie about the same thing. "How about you, Kate?"

"Sounds like fun!" She nods, and put the movie box back in it's place again. But then you see her rolling her eyes at something, and you correctly assume that 'someone' just gave her one of those mischievous little hints again. "No, Rachel! I'm not playing That with you again!"

"Something I should know about...?" You ask them, as they both return to the couch again. There's quite a few things you don't know yet about their time before you met with Rachel, and you wonder if this is one of those things you shouldn't really be asking about.

"Oh, nothing much really!" Your housemate flashes you another of her adorable little smiles. "Kate's just such a sore loser sometimes..."

"Only when you're changing the rules!" The blonde quickly defends herself, though you can't fail to notice the hint of a smile on her face. It makes you think she may have been upset about it back when it happened, but is still able to look back at whatever it was with a certain fondness. "And you're not very nice when you're drunk!"

"I think I remember more of that evening than you do!" Rachel just laughs at her, and again you're reminded that those two have known eachother for quite some time now. Perhaps you should be a little jealous about it, but then again you're still very happy for Rachel's sake that they're back together now. "But, anyways... I still don't get why you wouldn't want a chance at having your **** for last time...!"

"That's just... not!" Kate states decisively, after a quick glance in your direction, and you notice a slight blush having returned to her face again. Whatever they're talking about, you think you'll be wanting to hear a bit more about it later - and from the wide smile on Rachel's face, it won't be all that difficult to press her on the details either...

"Allright..." Rachel finally gives up on trying to convince her, and instead goes looking for a deck of cards where you usually store the few of your board games. "Unless you've got any other ideas, John...?"
