The Red Vixen

"All I want is the Red Vixen." You say in calm and controlled tone.

"Okay, John . you shall have is The Red Vixen. She is in room 124"

You smile, bow your head appropriately and walk out of the room. Finally you get to meet her.

Throughout the entire war, nobody was able to stand in your path as you fought and fought. That is until the countess known as The Red Vixen appeared, beginning the toughest string of engagements you have ever fought in.

Many commanders on your side were annihilated by her and her army. Many found her a monster on the battlefield, you found your military soul mate. Every time you fought her, you were pushed to the limits and **** to be a better general. You presume the same was true for her.

Every time you won a battle and freed captors, they brought up two things about The Red Vixen. First, she was a beautiful angel who fought like a devil. Second, she was generous and kind to the men she captured, a strong departure from many other men with their treatment. So in return you were kind to her men, knowing full well she could turn hostile.

In fact, when she beat you at Alford's creek, she wrote a letter to you thanking you for treating her warriors so well and being grateful that she had found an equal. This started a military romance that lasted till the war's end of poems and other well written things that are in your head, with both sides approximately with the same amount of wins to losses to each other. You were in fact equal.

You make the turn to her room and open the door as the thoughts of the past and the war are over and you care to meet the woman who pushed you to your limits.
