By claiming they love each other

"Why Kelly, why would you want to hurt me like that, love?" he tells her as he drives away with her, telling her that he knew they were meant for each other as soon as Kelly caught his eye and smiled at him during a concert of hers that he attended.

The rest, as it turns out, he had all made up in his head, which had led to his recent mental health diagnosis, but the future plans he had for Kelly are what really scared her.

"It was just a stupid concert," she tells him, trying to reason with him, as he drives further and further out of the city, taking her to his place.

"Oh my God, he's gonna kill me now that he's **** me, isn't he?" Kelly thought to herself, but as it turns out, things were soon going to be much worse for her when she got her phone out and tried to call Mark.

And that's when the real nature of his mental illness showed itself.
