Girls go shopping

"Are you busy today mom?" Caitlyn interrupts, her voice light and casual.

Your mother looks up from where she is sitting, her gaze flicking between you and Caitlyn. "No, sweetie, I'm not busy," she says, her voice warm and affectionate. "Why do you ask?"

Caitlyn rolls her eyes, the movement causing the robe to shift even more. "I was just wondering if you wanted to do something together," she says, her tone implying that there is something more than just a casual outing on the line.

"Would you like to go shopping?" your mom asks.

Caitlyn's eyes light up at her suggestion, and she grins. "Shopping sounds great, Mom," she says, her voice filled with excitement. "Maybe we can find some new clothes for little bro as well."

Your mother raises an eyebrow, her gaze flicking over to you. "Is that so, sweetie?" she asks, her tone laced with amusement. "What kind of clothes are you looking for, honey?"

You feel your face heating up even more, the pillow still clutched tightly to your chest. "I, uh..." you stammer, your mind racing. "I just meant maybe some new jeans or something."

Your mother chuckles, the sound warm and affectionate.

"Okay, sweetie," your mother says, getting up from the couch. She stretches her arms above her head, the movement causing her tank top to ride up slightly, revealing a sliver of toned midriff. "We should get dressed before we head out."

She walks over to Caitlyn, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Come on, Cait, let's go get ready," she says, her tone gentle but firm. Caitlyn smirks at you before standing up.

Your mother notices your gaze and frowns slightly, her eyes narrowing as she takes in your posture.

You notice that your mom is looking at you suspiciously, you quickly glance over to the TV screen. The anchor is talking about the latest political scandal, her lips moving silently as the sound is turned down.
