Recruiting More Allies

"You two alone cannot hope to meet the nether queen and survive. That is why you must seek out more aid among the Overworld." Herobrine looks at Kim, "Your strength only exists because he is still alive. Chester Jota, the Iron Bear, cannot be killed by monsters alone. He stands vigil over his fallen village still."

Kim response is immediate, "He's alive!?!?"
Herobrine nods, "Yes, though his heart weighs heavy for the fate of the village. Your mission to save it will renew his spirit and he will aid your cause."

He stands in front of the crafting table and moves towards the door, a shadow of himself dissapearing from the seat he had just used. He speaks as he walks towards the door, "You both will not fail, but you must come to accept that you are no longer human. You are now in between. You are now half-breeds of monsters and men. Men will stop at nothing to hunt and slay both of you. And if your quest is completed and the cycle of rebirth is restored, more men will come." He looks over his shoulder at Jeff, their glowing eyes meeting, "You are the one who chooses to live a happy life. I cannot **** you to do anything."

And like mist, Herobrine disappears as he enters the sunlight.

Both stand motionless at the enormity of the task and the shock of meeting a deity. Jeff breaks the spell and turns towards Kim, who has let her bow and arrows drop from numb fingers. "How...do you know...know of..." Jeff walks until they are face to face, soul to soul, "Herobrine knew that I am the offspring of a dragon now. That dragons name is Enderlin Karta, keeper of the End of All Thing, the land of the dead." His eyes soften, "If I had known what I was leading them into..."

Kim doesn't let him finish, pulling him into an embrace. He returns in kind, but his mind and heart are still wounded, "Like you told me, you did what you could. There no point worrying about what we have done. We need to focus on what we must do." His chin rests on her shoulder, "But can we do this? So much was lost to face one god of a realm...I can't lose you...I just can't..." Kim rests her chin on his shoulder and tightens her embrace, "We wont be doing this alone and this time, we know what we're up against."

She lessens her hold to look into his eyes which now contain the same fervent look that she possessed when they first met, "We must save the village, Jeff. Then well go from there."
