Chapter 16
by FlightoftheBeers
What does she do?
The price? Free.
She probably didn't need to obliterate him like she did. MJ was pretty sure he was dead after one or two hits. The unlucky fucker just happened to catch the wrong woman at the wrong time. She took out all of her aggression and regrets out on him. "I won't sell myself ever again!" She shouted before driving his spear through his chest.
The law of the jungle dictated that, since she killed the predator that killed her prey, she got to keep both. Though, she was only concerned with the deer. She'd leave the body there. Maybe people would think it was a tiger attack— if anyone ever found him.
The law of the jungle also dictated that she not waste the life of prey. She would hunt again tomorrow, but for now, she would be thankful for the deer that had been provided for her.
As she ate her meal, her mind shot back to the hunter. She'd quite callously and quite heartlessly murdered him and she felt no guilt at all. That's not to say she didn't feel anything. What she did feel was disappointment. The man was hardly a threat, nor was he even a worthy adversary. Unlike her first kill.
MJ frowned at the thought of being here longer. Not that she was scared, but rather bored. And confused... She was supposed to find her spirit animal, yet all she'd found was a free meal and a possible manslaughter charge.
How would she even know if she found it? What would it even look like? She tried to imagine what she thought her spirit animal was, picturing its characteristics and form. She needed to think about what she thought best represented her.
What animal does she think of?
