Chapter 340
by Gray Gremlin
What's the buzz back at the hotel?
Bee Brunch
“You look happy to start the new year. Maybe a bit sore,” Delilah greeted Bianca as she joined their table.
Unlike the cheerleaders, the dance squad didn’t have a perky alarm clock to wake them up. So the assembling of the Sugarbees trailed almost every other group in launching the new year. Since Yumi woke Delilah and Ariel up, the youngest dancer followed her cheer friends’ advice and scored the remaining table in the ballroom. Her mentor arrived shortly after with a quiet Beyza, followed by a lonely Jasmine. Yelena’s arrival preceded Bianca’s by only a couple of minutes.
“This one looks even more pleased with herself, which is concerning. How much trouble did you get into?” Delilah challenged Yelena. “I’m not dealing with another angry girlfriend. And if it’s a fiancée, I’m not lying again for you!”
“Relax. Neither of those is going to show up at practice. I swear,” Yelena promised.
“I don’t trust you. What if…it better not be a wife! Bianca, you’re dealing with any murderous wife. She’s your best friend,” Delilah pointed out.
“Yelena!” Jasmine exclaimed in horror.
“Stop freaking out. He’s not married or dating anyone,” the blonde sexpot relayed. “However, my conquest would only add to my fame if Nosy Nectar–”
“You mean infamy,” Delilah corrected.
“If Nosy Nectar reported on it. Well, it would on most days. Too much shit happened last night for me to get the full attention I deserve.”
“I might not have destroyed any relationships—well, I helped destroy a hotel chair—but I did manage to potentially rock the cheerleader royalty by seducing one of their princes,” Bianca teased. “Let’s just say that Penn Wexler learned that blondes aren’t the only fun girls and that dancers are more limber than cheerleaders.”
“Shelly Penfold’s son? Jesus, Bianca, how did you trick Penn?” Delilah queried. “You’re not his type. Did you bring a wig?”
Ariel couldn’t stifle a snicker.
“I didn’t need to trick him! I have skills and this body,” Bianca replied indignantly, glaring at the sophomore.
“Hmm, I should be jealous. That’s a good score. One that would definitely piss off alumni cheersluts, but mine will cause chaos in this current squad if the word got out,” Yelena hinted cryptically. “Still, he could also be considered a prince. Not of the cheer sort, of course.”
“Is it someone we’d know?” Jasmine inquired, always fascinated and horrified by Yelena’s adventures.
“His last name is famous around town,” Yelena added.
This clue piqued Bianca’s interest.
“I’d hardly call Fletcher a conquest, Lena.”
“You slept with Fletch?!” Jasmine exclaimed.
“No, it was not Fletcher! Give me some credit. I like a challenge,” Yelena snapped. “This man was much older and experienced. There is no–Okay, there might be connections between the two families.”
“That narrows it down,” Delilah noted sarcastically.
“Oh, he wasn’t narrow at all. Big dicks running in this family ain’t no urban legend,” Yelena announced triumphantly.
“Alright, let’s lay off on the details. There’s still hope that Ariel turns out normal. Don’t ruin her chances,” Delilah declared.
Bianca’s expression shifted as the final breadcrumb fell into place. “Are you insane?” she mouthed at her best friend. Aware that Harvey Diamond had left the hotel earlier in the night, she’d figured out that Yelena had screwed Whitney’s uncle. And after last night’s drama with Lacey and Lana, Bianca wasn’t in the mood for a full-blown war between the two squads the very next day.
Yelena grinned before using a finger to zip her lips.
“I’m still normal!” Jasmine insisted, pulling the other two girls back into the conversation.
“Too normal and boring,” Yelena replied.
“You follow these two too much. Olivia and the twins are still normal,” Delilah stated, referring to three of the juniors on the dance squad.
“Beyza, I’m normal, right?” Jasmine asked the non-Sugarbee, who barely managed a shrug.
“I think Lilah’s just mad that she didn’t get laid last night. I assume I’m correct,” Yelena stated confidently.
“Did you end up with someone? You left the ball earlier than us,” Bianca recalled.
"Ariel and I ended up at the impromptu cheerleader sleepover," Delilah revealed, expecting an adverse reaction.
Yelena audibly scoffed while Bianca rolled her eyes. The Sugarbee captain opened her mouth to say more, but a former dancer chose to stop at their table at that moment.
“You let your girls attend cheerslut sleepovers, Little Zuccaro?” Elin Helsing challenged, the disdain dripping from her tone. “I wonder what Izzy will think about her cousin allowing her charges to fraternize with the enemy.”
Two years older than the current seniors, Elin had been on the same squad as Isabella Fazzini and Cristina Barber. Bianca, Yelena, and Tandy had joined those seniors as Sugarbees while sophomores. Elin had been one of the older dancers who took glee in bossing around the younger members. Her look-a-like cousin, Malin from Fountain Beach, who stood at her side, sounded possibly worse.
Although Bianca planned to scold Delilah for taking Ariel to the sleepover, she immediately changed her tune.
“I run my squad how I run it. No one tells me how to do so.”
"We'll see about that," Elin replied, scanning the ballroom and motioning for her cousin to sit on one of the two free chairs.
“Hey!” Malin exclaimed as the chair shot forward a couple of feet.
Bianca nodded at Ariel, who’d kicked the chair away after a gesture from Delilah.
“I could’ve been hurt, brat,” Malin growled, standing above Ariel.
Delilah warned the visiting dancer away while reminding her that she knew about her poor treatment of another ex-dancer.
“You can’t possibly think I’d let you sit at my table,” the co-captain said. “Not after the way you treated Yumi out in Fountain Beach.”
"Are you going to let one of your dancers talk to us that way?" Elin challenged Bianca.
“Lilah is co-captain. What she says goes. Besides, those seats are reserved, but not for you,” the dance captain lied.
“But all the rest are taken!” Elin squealed.
“The floor is open, bitch,” Yelena gestured, staring down her former squadmate.
The pair of nearly identical blondes stormed off, not without warning that somebody would hear about this insult.
“You went to a cheerleader sleepover and didn’t invite me?” Jasmine pouted before anyone could further discuss the Helsing cousins.
“It was a last-minute invite, Jas,” Delilah apologized. “You know how those sleepovers go.”
“That’s why I know I missed a fun time,” Jasmine moaned, recalling the sleepovers from her days with Delilah as a Babybee. “What did I miss?”
“You should be more worried about finding yourself men,” Yelena admonished. “It’s embarrassing enough that you aren’t living up to the Sugarbee reputation, but then you go hang out with those bitches.”
“Now, you’re sounding like the blondes we just kicked off,” Delilah shot back, forcing Bianca to mediate.
While the captain played peacekeeper for once, Ariel informed Jasmine about the sleepover.
“Freeze tag? Aww, I like playing freeze tag!” Jasmine cried. “What did the loser have to do?”
“Uh, we had to make goofy videos to send to Sean Tarver,” Ariel recounted. “Kizzy and YoYo might have won for the goofiest.”
The dual conversations lasted for several minutes until Bianca asked if anyone had heard from the two missing seniors on the squad. Suddenly, Jasmine’s mood brightened as she had information that the others wanted for once.
"I talked to Rosita just before we sat down. The hospital sounded crazy. After checking Tandy, the staff wouldn't let them leave because the ice had turned super slippery."
“They had to stay in the waiting room?” Delilah asked.
“No, I guess, um, what’s his name? Um, yeah, Newt Denton! His mom is a doctor and was at the hospital. She managed to get them cots and spare rooms. I guess the guys weren’t happy about getting crammed into one room, but they wouldn’t let them share with the girls. They were finally leaving when I talked to Rosie,” Jasmine relayed.
“How are they?” Delilah inquired.
“Kip’s going to live. I guess it wasn’t as bad as it looked with all the blood. Oh, and Xavier didn’t have a concussion, just a bump on his head,” Jasmine reported.
“And?”
“And?” Jasmine repeated in confusion.
“And what about Tandy?” Bianca repeated.
“Oh! Good news. Tandy’s ankle isn’t broken. It’s severely sprained!” Jasmine revealed.
“That’s good,” Delilah remarked.
“How bad is it sprained? Did they give a timeframe?” Bianca questioned, getting a shrug in reply. “It matters as this is our most important time of the year. Basketball halftimes are moments to shine. Now, we won’t have Tandy for who knows how long.”
“We’ll be fine. Others can step up,” Delilah reassured her captain while nudging Ariel. The sophomore had already earned her co-captain’s confidence.
“When are Olivia and the twins getting back? We might need to schedule a meeting for tomorrow to address this. They’ll need to step up. It’s not like we can just go out and find an injury replacement for Tandy,” Bianca grumbled.
“What do you say, Beyza? Up for a run as a substitute dancer?” Yelena cracked. It wasn’t a serious offer on her part.
“You do know some of our routines…” Delilah trailed off, regretting her words immediately after Bianca’s face perked up.
“Hmm, maybe,” the Sugarbee captain sounded, pondering the possibility.
“I didn’t really mean it, Bey,” Delilah reassured, noticing her friend’s odd expression. “Hey, are you okay? You’ve been awfully quiet this morning.”
“Do you feel alright?” Jasmine asked out of concern.
“What’s wrong? Upset over your ex suddenly becoming the man of the hour?” Yelena cracked. “Or didn’t you get laid last night?”
Beyza shot out of her chair while covering her mouth.
“I don’t feel good,” she mumbled before rushing toward the restrooms.
“Yelena!” Delilah scolded, watching her friend with concern.
“What? I didn’t say anything that mean!” Yelena defended. “And she’s been acting strange since we sat down.”
“Great. There goes even the slimmest chance of a substitute,” Bianca muttered.
“I don’t know. Miss Bitchy might be right for once. Bey has been acting oddly. Maybe I should find Rory,” Delilah suggested.
“You look miserable to start the new year. Maybe even ready to stab someone,” Daisy greeted Ramsey as she joined them at the table. “Did they stay up all night crying?”
“They stayed up all night playing damn video games!” Ramsey roared as she slumped into the chair. “All fricking night. Every single one of them.”
“Wait, I thought it was just Reed and Samson? Did more show up after we left?” Daisy asked, glancing at Dexter and Norah in amusement.
“Their friends were online. My aunt and uncle let Reed bring his whole game setup or whatever. They had the room TV and another one they brought side-by-side. I barely slept!” Ramsey hissed.
“I hope you got hazard babysitting pay,” Norah chimed in.
“Pay? Ha! Mom spun it into my punishment,” Ramsey revealed, although Daisy suspected as much. “Speaking of punishment, have you seen Delilah?”
“She’s sitting on the other side of the room at the Sugarbee table. Why? Did Sammy do something?” Daisy inquired.
“Did he?! I caught him staring at my butt,” Ramsey whispered the last part. “And he made comments about it to his friends.”
“Oh, no!”
“I know! Delilah needs to know about his behavior,” the strawberry blonde proclaimed.
"You caught a teenage boy staring at your ass, and he commented about it. Talk about breaking news!" Daisy shrieked in mock horror.
“It’s not funny. It’s not! Sammy might be a pervert who needs help. His sister needs to know,” Ramsey pointed out, practically huffing and puffing over the incident.
Dexter froze over the discussion of Ramsey’s ass, but Norah couldn’t resist sliding into the conversation.
"I'm with you, Boss. What kind of a guy would spend his free time staring at your butt whenever you walked past, bent over your office desk, or down to pick up a pen that rolled onto the floor? Maybe Dex could investigate the reasons why teenage boys would do such a thing. Do that again; I'll whack your head," Norah growled after Dexter kicked her under the table.
“Alright, knock it off, you two,” Daisy ordered, knowing her little brother often zoned out based on the editor’s outfit. “Trust me, Rammy, it’s perfect normally for guys like Sammy to admire older girls. However, from what I hear, Sammy prefers boobs over butts. So you’re safe from getting molested.”
“Well, maybe. I know Reed has crushes on my cheerleader friends. But still, I think Delilah needs to hear about this. However, you might be correct in not causing a scene when I inform her,” Ramsey said, understanding Daisy’s unspoken advice.
“Now, are you upset about something else?” Daisy prodded, preferring her friend to bring up the big event from last night.
“My mom is out of control!” Ramsey yelled, choosing a different topic than Daisy expected. “First, she scolds me like I’m a child for doing the same stuff Grandpa has done during his whole journalistic career. You saw it, Dais! Next, she punished me with babysitting my cousin, who didn’t need a damn babysitter. Finally, I walk into our room–our room!—to find some guy naked in bed with her.”
“How young was this one?” Daisy asked.
Based on the topics discussed so far at their table, Dexter appeared ready to have a stroke, but Norah nodded knowingly about Ms. Swift’s preference for younger men.
“I don’t know! All I saw was his butt hanging out of the sheets.”
“Was it a nice one?” Daisy queried before apologizing. “Sorry.”
"I had to wait until I heard the shower running before slipping back into my room. And what do I discover? My mother never put my phone on the charger, so it's dead."
“Sounds like she had other things on her mind,” Norah mumbled.
Daisy shot her semi-protégé a warning glare.
“You should get a second phone like we all have,” Dex suggested before wincing as his sister kicked his knee. Her dirty look silenced any further suggestions.
“I probably should,” the newspaper editor-in-chief admitted. “But not to keep things hidden from Ms. Resto like some people.”
“Mrs. Brass understood the need,” Daisy shot back. “The school board has meddled in Buzzy Bee business too often in the past.”
"I'm not in the mood for that argument. I only saw my newest messages before the shower shut off, and I had to escape. So, I feel out of the loop. What did I miss? What did you need Samson for last night?"
"None of us are exactly sure what we stumbled on," Daisy admitted.
“You dragged these two in with you?” Ramsey challenged, tilting her head while silently chastising her closest friend on the paper.
“Don’t give me that look. You know the start of it,” Daisy hinted. “It’s not safe to talk about it here.”
“Not safe? You better not have done anything illegal. Daisy?” Ramsey demanded while the bespectacled blonde typed on her phone.
“I think we only used the stolen passkey once. Or was it twice?” Dex questioned aloud.
“Dex!”
Daisy’s hiss and Norah’s disappointed headshake occurred simultaneously.
“Daisy, hand that over right now,” Ramsey ordered, holding out her hand. “I’m going to take it to the front desk and tell them I found it on the floor.”
"Seriously? You, Rollie Swift's granddaughter of all people, will claim you just found it on the floor? C'mon, Rammy, nobody is going to buy that," Daisy scoffed.
“Well, I still need to take it away from you. Clearly, the temptation is too much for you.”
“So says Penalty Pub girl.”
“That’s different, Dais! Hand it over!”
“I can’t. Fawn needed it just a bit ago.”
“Miss Graff? Why does she need a passkey? What’s she going to use it for?” Ramsey rattled off.
“Probably something juicy.”
“Dais!”
“Look, do you ask Odette what she’s planning to do?” Daisy asked.
“All the time!”
“But she refuses to tell you. I know better to ask. Besides, Fawn hinted that I’ll know soon enough.”
“Between Miss Graff and Mrs. Brass, I don’t know what–”
“Don’t you want to hear about what you missed last night?” Norah interrupted Ramsey to change the subject. The mousy brunette nudged her reporter partner.
“Oh, right! Did you hear about the fight at Milner’s party?” Dex asked before continuing. “Kip Peavy nearly died. A cabinet fell on him. Actually, a bunch of people ended up going to the hospital. I guess they ran into Lacey there.”
“Lacey? Why was Lacey at the hospital?” Ramsey’s head rocked back.
“You don’t know?” Daisy doublechecked.
Ramsey couldn't believe she'd missed the confrontation between Mr. Stratton and Mr. Singer. Nor could she believe that one of them suffered a broken hand while the other ended up with a fractured nose. She also expressed surprise that Lacey's parents had her drive them to the hospital. That might be the craziest part of the story, knowing Lacey and her dad.
“Lacey got back while we headed up to bed,” Daisy finished.
“I can’t believe it missed that. Did anything else happen?”
“Honey Hollow has a new vigilante. He calls himself The Beevenger,” Dex announced, causing Ramsey’s head to rock back in surprise for a second time. Of course, Dex knew the vigilante's identity as he helped in part of the adventure.
“Did you say a vigilante?”
“It’s not what you’re thinking,” Daisy said, motioning for her brother to keep quiet. “Nosy Nectar posted a picture of Denny Conway and Palmer Malloy tied up and dumped in a hotel laundry basket.”
“Why?”
“Katie and Palmer had another of their blowouts. Although this one seemed final.”
“It was awesome. Kizzy kicked Palmer in the face while swinging around on Katie’s back,” Dex gushed about his next-door neighbors.
“How did Dennis get mixed in?” Ramsey inquired.
“You didn’t hear about his pictures?” Norah questioned.
“Yeah, it happened before you got grounded,” Dex added.
“Maybe just before,” Daisy recalled. “Um, you should probably know about Denny’s pictures.”
Ramsey arched an eyebrow before squealing in horror as Daisy broke the news.
“Nude pictures? Of me?!”
“Fake nudes. They’re obviously fakes, Ramm. Everyone knows it. Don’t worry,” Daisy reassured hastily.
“Your pictures were clearly bad fakes. Nobody believed they were legit,” Dex added, causing all three girls’ eyes to widen.
“Pictures as in plural? You saw them?” Ramsey screeched.
“Dexter!” Daisy bellowed while Norah stomped on his foot.
“I didn’t say I saw them! Seth heard a review. That’s all I know. Ramsey’s were terrible, while some, like Bianca and Sienna, were pretty good,” Dex relayed. He left out the part where Seth heard it from Fletcher, who stood there while the girls searched Denny’s phone to delete every single picture. “There was some talk about Denny having a couple before break started, but nobody thought they were real or that he had so many.”
“We’re going to have a talk about not telling me about these things,” Daisy informed Dexter. “You know better.”
“Don’t blame Dexter. We all know who the real culprit is here. It’s Nosy Nectar. Whoever runs it makes stuff like fake pornography possible,” Ramsey declared.
“That’s a stretch even for you,” Daisy argued.
“No, we all know that Dennis isn’t the most intelligent guy in school. He needed assistance from someone to make these pictures. And I bet it’s Nosy Nectar. Think about it: he creates these pictures, which leads to a scandal around the school. That’s precisely the type of gossip that catches the attention of our classmates. Guys want to see them, while girls are terrified about being the subject of one of the images.”
“Nosy Nectar didn't create the story, Ramsey. It merely reported that Kaitlin had discovered the pictures on Denny's phone. It caused a big scene where he tried to escape before running into Fletcher. Kaitlin alerted the girls who were at the ball, and they oversaw the deletion of all the pictures," Norah reported.
“And it’s not that difficult to make fake nudes. You just need to know the proper sites and—I’ll shut up now,” Dexter broke off under his older sister’s stern gaze.
“No, Nosy Nectar creates an environment that allows this behavior to fester. Far too many people take their postings as fact, not the gossip it truly is. It's about time someone finds out who's behind this trash and shuts them down," Ramsey declared.
“Not this again,” Daisy groaned, rubbing her forehead with her palms.
"It's time, Dais. It's time for me to fulfill my destiny and expose Nosy Nectar. Who better than a Swift to do what no other Buzzy Bee reporter has ever managed to do.”
“Knock it off with the melodramatic destiny talk. You know how many Buzzy Bee reporters ended up broken or nearly broken after failing to learn the identity of Miss Nosy,” Daisy reminded.
“They weren’t me,” Ramsey stated confidently.
“Deborah Bugle and Bradley Kord are intelligent. They also were two of the earliest editors of the Bee after Nosy Nectar started. They both got nothing, and they went on to solid careers,” Daisy recounted.
“As television reporters, not investigative journalists,” Ramsey chuckled.
“I’d suggest not saying that if you see Cleopatra around the hotel. You remember that she’s here to report on Mrs. Singer’s foundation,” Daisy reminded about the respected school newspaper editor.
“Cleo was a solid editor, but it was her choice not to investigate Nosy Nectar,” Ramsey responded.
"Because she knew better!" Daisy exclaimed. "Look at all the best editors or reporters in the last fifteen years. Finn and Madeline didn't bother as they knew what happened before them. Sebastian Ferrin thought it was a worthless quest, so he broke huge stories that mattered while running a high school newspaper."
“Yes, I know the list, thank you very much!” Ramsey hissed. “Davy Earp, Meghan Mizuno, Webster Whelan, and April all passed on doing what they should’ve done.”
“Well, Mr. Earp and Mr. Whelan deferred to Sebastian’s view,” Daisy stated, prodding Ramsey as she knew she admired the famous journalist.
“Don’t throw his name at me, Daisy. I respect Mr. Ferrin, but he’s not perfect. Running into danger isn’t always the best way to get stories.”
“So says Penalty Pub girl.”
Norah and Dexter watched the back and forth in awe. Tension around the newspaper office had built up ever since Ms. Resto replaced Mrs. Brass as the paper’s advisor. Both teens also knew that Daisy took after Finn and Madeline’s viewpoint, while Ramsey agreed more firmly with last year’s editor, April Lemke.
“That’s not fair!”
“Another history lesson, Swift. We both know the rumor about Meghan Mizuno. Oh, she tried to go after Nosy Nectar hard and got swatted harder in return. That’s why she denies ever investigating it. And when it comes to April, she was too selfish to bother. Miss Lemke worried more about using the Bee for her college applications,” Daisy pointed out.
“April was not selfish.”
“Yes, she was! That’s why we don’t have any juniors on the Bee. Unless you want to count Odette.”
“I do not,” Ramsey replied haughtily.
“I’d check the attitude, Rammy. Don’t get pissy because your mom cracked the whip. And don’t make grand statements about taking down Nosy Nectar. Remember Terri Torkelson?”
“She kicked you off the Fairwater Beacon!” Ramsey spat before instantly regretting it.
“Torkelson also ran the Bee into the ground while repeatedly declaring that she was close to Miss Nosy's identity. Don’t be the next Torkelson, Rammy. Don’t go all Captain Ahab on me. I need you to help me make sure the _Bee _carries on properly after we graduate. Remember the promise we made to Finn when helped recruit us. We'd leave the paper for the better after our time."
“Captain Ahab?” Dex whispered to Norah.
“Don’t you read?” Norah growled, knowing he was a bookworm. “Moby Dick!”
“The whale?”
“Ugh, I’ll explain later,” Norah hissed, hearing her name brought up.
“Norah and Dexter will carry what we do,” Ramsey insisted.
“We vowed to grow the paper. Remember that? April killed those plans. We can’t expect Dex and Norah to do everything. We need to help them plan for next year and recruit additional reporters. At this rate, their only help will be Odie,” Daisy said. “And my brother doesn’t need a juvenile record by next Christmas.”
“You already mentioned doing your junior high recruiting thing last night,” Ramsey recalled.
"But I need you with me. Or around to help show them the office and what we do to them. If you're out chasing the impossible, who's the other senior around? Geoff, that's who." Both Daisy and Ramsey shuddered at the thought of allowing Geoffrey Inch to mentor new recruits this spring.
“I guess you do have a fair point,” Ramsey admitted.
“Look, I’m not saying you can’t make some inquiries into Nosy Nectar. I just can't have you abandon everything else. We have Whitney's near-**** experience to cover when we get back. And I think we need to recruit at least two if not three, incoming sophomores for next year. Maybe we can do what Cleo did with Finn and Barney by bringing them in for a few stories this spring."
“I like that idea,” Ramsey agreed.
"I have another. Do you want to hear it? We should search Honey Hollow High for any current students who want to join the Bee. They could join after finals at the end of the month,” Daisy suggested.
“You want to add a new reporter for the second semester?” Ramsey repeated, suddenly kicking herself for never considering the idea before.
“There has to be one junior in our school that might want to be on the paper. Or Dex and Norah could lobby somebody they know to try it out,” Daisy speculated.
“I love the idea!” Ramsey exclaimed. She didn’t let on that part of the reason she loved the idea was that it might free her up to investigate Nosy Nectar. Daisy often caved to her badgering, so the strawberry blonde figured she’d bide her time. Too bad I don’t have someone to help that’s not on the paper. That would be fantastic!
“Great. I’m going to have to talk to people,” Norah muttered. The mousy brunette didn’t mind doing so for articles and investigations, but she wasn’t big on small talk.
“Is it another guy? That would be cool. Wait, another hot girl?” Dex asked before stopping.
After clearing the air, Daisy slid her phone in front of Ramsey. She’d written several names for her friend to read: Alfie Fewings, Griffin Green, Archer Bowe, Beyza Baris, Annette Baris, and Daphne Garrow.
“Is this…” Ramsey shushed as Daisy nodded. “Right, we’ll talk later.”
“So what else happened last night that Ramsey missed?” Dex wondered.
“Forget that. How’s Lacey doing?” Daisy inquired out of concern. “Is she doing okay this morning?”
“Lacey? You mean about her dad?” Ramsey questioned.
“I mean, about the breakup? Don’t you know?” Daisy asked, suddenly shocked after noticing her friend's blank face. She assumed the news was one of the messages her friend had been able to read.
“Austin broke up with Lace? When? Why?”
“Oh, Lacey dumped Austin. Publicly, too,” Norah revealed.
“I think Bianca rejecting him was way worse,” Dex remarked.
“Lacey dumped Austin? Lacey dumped Austin! I need to find Lacey!” Ramsey screeched, jumping up.
What are Fawn and Brandy up to?
