Attack!

Thinking quickly, you move up behind the thing that used to be a police officer and you deliver a hard kick by thrusting the heel of your right foot into the back of his knee. He crumples to the ground as you yell at the other one.

"HEY! ASSHOLE!" The one in handcuffs turns toward you and seems to regard you for a moment. You spit in his face and that seems to have settled things; he turns towards you and starts shuffling towards you. You kick him in the midsection, which sends him crashing into the wall. He stumbles, but doesn't fall. You quickly back up and kick the gun on the floor over to the screaming cop. It barely misses the hand of the other officer struggling to get to his feet and it hits her shoe with a dull thud. You can only hope that she comes to her senses as both of these seemingly walking corpses start to lumber towards you.

You kick the gang punk again, pushing him back a bit but not knocking him down. You're barely able to avoid the grasp of the other one as you quickly backpedal. You kick him but only manage to slow him down for a second. The other one has already recovered, and you know that you won't be able to keep this up.

Suddenly a loud gunshot hurts your ears as you see the gang punk stagger a bit.

BANG

Two more shots ring out without any apparent effect. It seems that the officer has regained her wits and his now shooting the creatures, but it's not stopping them. You quickly think back to the incident on the road when you got arrested. The one you shot went right down after the first hit, when you shot it in the head. Realization suddenly hits you and you quickly yell, "The head! Shoot the head!" In a panic, you kick the officer again as you hear a couple of more shots ring out. This time you misjudged your kick and you slip, falling flat on your back. Its predatory eyes look down at you as it opens its mouth and begins to descend upon you.
