Chapter 9 by jessi010111 jessi010111

What do the girls discover at the address?

A suspicious building

Even though Rebecca was pretty sure she knew where the address was located, she had entered it into her phone to make sure she was thinking of the right place. "145 Brook Trail... that's not exactly the most glamorous part of town, is it?" Kelly mentioned as they left the apartment building.

Rebecca's mind thought through the times she'd gone by the address. There were too many nondescript, worn-down buildings in the district, and attempting to pinpoint one specific structure by the handful of times she'd passed by was impossible. "No, it isn't. I definitely wouldn't want to be caught after dark walking the streets around there, that's for sure." Rebecca was glad it was still early afternoon, the sun was shining brightly overhead on the hot summer day.

The walk over to the address was uneventful, and Rebecca and Kelly had friendly conversation, but Kelly could tell Rebecca's mind was focused on the strange note. The pedestrian traffic of the city lessened the closer they got to their destination, and the people Rebecca and Kelly shared the sidewalk with also became more and more vagrant-looking. Finally, the two young women turned a corner and reached the block on which the address was located. The street looked dirty and tired, full of trash and worn-down vehicles. Even in the middle of the day, it somehow seemed to have a darker tinge than the rest of the city.

"This place kinda creeps me out, and I've been in some pretty shady places around the city..." Kelly voiced her concern. "Let's find this place and get the hell out of here." Kelly was usually the one out of the duo that recklessly lead the way into the dives and basement attractions of the city, but this was a far cry from the afternoon romp with Rebecca's body she'd psyched herself up for. She walked closer to Rebecca, her subconscious assuring her this would help her chances of survival in this foreboding place. Rebecca didn't reply to Kelly's remarks, her eyes peeled for the address. "132... 140... 145. Here it is." Rebecca squared her body with the front of a plain-looking brick building. The brick had obviously been painted over many times, currently sporting a dirty off-white coloring, and there were no windows to be seen. The only feature that adorned the building was a large metal door with a simple doorknob and a small sliding panel at face height.

"This really doesn't look good Becca, I mean, who KNOWS what this building's used for. Look, why don't we just head back and have some fun? This was obviously just a prank, it's probably just vacant..." Kelly's mind was trying to come up with any way to convince Rebecca to leave, but as she nervously swiveled her head around scanning the surrounding neighborhood, she failed to notice her seemingly-entranced friend slowly walk up to the door.

Rebecca felt like there was something important for her behind the door. Not necessarily good or bad, just important. The instant she knocked on the door with three heavy thuds, she knew that her life WOULD be changed forever, just as the note had promised her. She broke out of the focus of getting to the address, a curious nervousness enveloped her. "See? There's no one there. Let's get out of here Becca!" Kelly tugged on Rebecca's arm with half strength, not actually intending to physically **** her friend to leave, but **** at this point.

What's on the other side of the door?

More fun
