Hollidays and Party planning

After showering, you enter the kitchen and see to your surprise that Emily must have been shopping on her way back. You begin to cook up breakfeast for Emily, John and yourself.
About 15 minutes later Emily enters the kitchen, wearing an versized white shirt and grey sweatpeants, her hair up in a bun.
Without having to say a word she joins you, and take over handling the scrambled eggs, while you set the table.
The two of you already began eating when John finally joined the two i you, he never got up before 10.

After a couple minutes of conversation John, still sleepy, asks Emily and you: "Are you guys coming to the party of Lydia by the way?"

"Party?" Emily asks confused.

"Yeah, pretty spontaneous, Lydia asked me to tell the both of you, its...oh, i think it might be today."

"Today??" Emily and you both exclaim in disbelief.
"And your telling us now?", you add.

"Well yeah, look, i kinda forgot, but you dont have any other plans right? It´ll be a small thing..20 people or something."

You smile to yourself. For Lydias standards, that actually wasnt a lot. Then both you and Emily accept the invitation and after cleaning up, each of you dissapear to your rooms.
