Chapter 7 by reaper13
Do you take her out of stasis? Or leave her in?
Take her out
You don't think you'd be able to survive out there by yourself. It was risky but you had ****. You had to take her out of the stasis pod.
You accessed the pods computer and ordered it to release it's prisoner. The ****-field disappeared, it's prisoner awoke and ... looked straight into the barrel of your gun.
"Good morning," you told her. "I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that you are supposed to be my prisoner and I was to transport you to a different facility. Instead I was attacked and had to crash-land on this planet. The good news is that as far I can tell, this planet is uninhabited and I don't think I'd be able to survive on my own. As such, you are set free until a rescue unit arrives. Do you understand?"
Your captive looks attentively at you and replies "... yes."
"Good." You tell her. "I will be the only one to wield any weapons, and you shall do whatever I tell you to. Any questions?"
The prisoner stared at you. It felt like she was studying you. Your posture, physical strength, weaknesses, ... but you couldn't quite tell. She didn't appear to be afraid however and that made you nervous. Most people are afraid when a gun is pointed at them. The only ones that weren't were either mad, dumb, or had a lot of experience dealing with them.
"Not at the moment." she calmly answered. It was a satisfying answer.
"That'll do for now." You said while you put the gun away. "Get out of that pod and join me outside."
You both walked outside of the crashed ship and surveyed your surroundings. You appeared to have landed in a plains, next to a forest.
"So, what is your take on this?" You asked her. Depending on her answer, you might be able to determine what kind of person she was.
"Well, the forest ought to give us ample supply of wood and fruits." She said. "The plains themselves could offer vegetables or livestock. There could be some wild deer roaming about. The ship itself will give us shelter and should we need to flee, we can always run to those hills in the distance."
You gave her an accusing look and said "That was awfully well put together."
"Please," She replied. "I used to be a politician. I had to take care of an entire society, I'm sure I can manage a settlement made up of one broken down dwelling."
Well, you couldn't fault her reasoning. Tho she could still be lying about her past as a politician.
"Well then, I propose we go start collecting food and water first."
"And where do you think we might find that, sir jailor?"
"I spotted a river further up just before we landed, and please, call me John."
"Alright then, John."
The both of you took some canisters and started walking.
Does anything happen on the way to the river
