You can't decide.

Looking all of them over you realize that while they are all cool and would fit in a small purse in some cases even a pocket, they all have a bit of a compromise, lack of ammo, low power, or to much recoil. “Well I like some of them, but I guess for self defense I might be better off buying something bigger.”

He smiles, “I can see where you are coming from. Why don't we grab you a few more and see if anything fits.”

Glancing at the clock you see he closes in ten minutes, “Oh gosh, I didn't know how late it was. If you have to go we don't need to go shoot any more.”

“Miss, this is my shop I don't mind, assuming you are going to buy something that is.” He says with a smile.

“Yes definitely. Well if you don't mind I think I would like to try that big one, that one, and this one.” You say pointing at a trio of big tough looking guns.

“Sure thing, head on back and I'll grab everything you need. Plus I'll pick out a couple more I think you might like.” You do as you are told and in a few moments he walks in with a bunch of bullets and another collection of five much bigger guns. “The first two here are polymer frame .40 cal pistols, the first is a glock 22, the second is a springfield armory xdm, the glock holds 15 rounds, the other holds one more. Both are nice guns, just depends on which one fits your hand better.” He loads one magazine while you load the other, then you try each of them against a paper target. Both shoot and feel much better than the smaller versions, but they are also heavier and larger. Taking them back he hands you the second pair of guns, “These two are both .45 acp, the first is a polymer like the others, a Taurus 24/7. It holds 12 rounds. The second is a classic 1911 style made by springfield armory, it holds only 7 rounds and is heavier but I think you might like it.” Again each of you load a clip and you give them a try. The Taurus kicks nearly as much as the tiny .45 and after shooting it you basically decide that .45 is to much for you. Then you try the other and it kicks less than the .40 pistols. Sure only 7 rounds but you have to admit it is awesome. He can see you grinning as he hands you the last two guns, both revolvers. “Last but not least two revolvers, both by Taurus, the first is their Tracker line in .44 magnum, the other is called the judge in .410 shotgun.” He hands you the massive revolvers and you blast away at the target. Once you are finished he asks again, “So what do you think?” As the two of you head back out of the range, clicking off the lights as you go.
