We can't keep doing this

The boy's eyes looked genuinely concerned behind his thick glasses. Even though the way he saw Lara had changed during the last months, he still cared about her and loved all the things they had been up to.

"I think this has to stop," Lara said.

"What has?" Jimmy asked, even though he knew the answer.

"These things we are doing," Lara's voice was calm and controlled "I don't think I should be doing such things, with my status and public image."

She collected her skimpy clothes that Mrs Padgett had thrown after her and put them on. The realization had come as a shock to her as well, but that is the kind of impact laying face down in a garbage filled alleway has on people. All this had felt good, but, Lara had to concede, it was in fact both wrong and bad.

Jimmy stood perfectly still, he opened his mouth and struggled for words.

"But, but, What about the pics and the vids and that?" He was grasping at straws more than threatening her.

Lara had finished dressing and put one slender hand on Jimmy's small shoulder

"Jimmy, You're a nice enough guy, and I have had fun with you and your friends. You know as well as me that you are not going to spread those pictures and videos, because that's not the kind of guys you are. Just keep them and watch them as a memory. This can't go on, for obvious reasons."
She placed a kiss on his cheek, leaving an imprint of red smudged lipstick, before staggering away on her high heels, struggling to keep her balance.

Jimmy gazed after her perfect silhouette as the woman of his dreams turned the corner and disappeared.
