Go simple. Panera's

"John, hey", says Doe walking up to me.

Its 12:30 pm, Friday, as we meet in front of Panera's and head inside. I decide to just take Doe somewhere simple, a casual first date.

I order a turkey sandwich, Doe does the same. We grab our food and sit down to eat. The conversation is pretty normal, we've seen each other Monday through Thursday at school so many conversations have elapsed between Sunday and today, any awkwardness is gone.

"How was soccer practice yesterday?", I ask, finishing up my sandwich.

"Ugh. Terrible. Coach had us do a ton of abs and legs, they feel sooo sore", complains Doe.

I imagine the girls soccer team, doing workouts, scantily clad, sweat running down their thighs, stomachs glistening. I imagine Doe among them; oh, how much I want to just rip off Doe's clothes and see all there is to see.

"John!", exclaims Doe, as I realize I've zoned out on her cleavage, "Pay attention, buster."

"My bad," I say, grinning, "Caught me. Although you shouldn't scold me. Totally your fault."

Doe sticks her tongue out at me, and we laugh, finishing the final bite of our sandwiches. We sit for a bit longer, and finally I move in for a kiss, no longer able to keep away from her tempting lips.

Our kiss is tender, lips touching softly, tentatively. We pull back smiling; a brief kiss, but our first as partners, and hopefully one of many to come.

We head out, spending the rest of the afternoon walking around town, sitting down here and there, and kissing occasionally. Overall, its a good first date - we get to know each other much better - and we head back to our respective houses around dinner time.

Before leaving, I ask Doe if she wants to hang tomorrow night. My friend Will is having a chill party at his house, essentially a pre-game, with no more than 10-12 people. I tell Doe she can bring a few of her friends, and that she can stay over at Will's.
