Chapter 6 by gystex gystex

revealing...

Anita and Jo.

As the lights came back up, Cathy let out a gasp. The rest of the room, save two, turned to look at what had startled her. The two that didn't were the reason.

Anita and Jo sat with their lips together, arms around each other, seemingly oblivious to all that was around them. Quiet filled the room after Cathy's initial gasp which they seemed not to have heard.

The Anita opened her eyes. "Mmmph!" she mumbled, and Jo abruptly pulled away.

"Um..." Jo said, for the first time all night at a loss for words.

"Er..." Anita added.

"Whoa," Allison finished. "Something you two want to tell us?"

"Uh, sorry about that," Jo said sheepishly. "I really don't know what came over me!"

"It's, um, all right," Anita replied. "But... what'd you do that for, anyway?"

Jo seemed to feel all the eyes in the room on her, even if she couldn't see them. "Well... all this talk about kissing girls and such, I suddenly had this impulse to give it a try. And, well, I figured for some reason that you probably wouldn't freak out about it, even if you didn't actually like it."

"So you came all the way across the room in the dark without making a sound," Allison said incredulously, "and managed to sit down next to Anita and lock lips with no one noticing?"

"Remember who you're talking to," Jo said with a smirk. "I'm still in the dark. Always am."

"Oh yeah."

"Don't worry about it, I actually rather appreciate it when people forget."

"Let's try to stay focused on the subject here," Anita said. "I just got kissed by you, remember?"

"Did you like it as much as you seemed to?" Jo asked matter-of-factly.

"Um..." Anita said, suddenly at a loss for words.

"Look, it was an impulse thing," Jo said. "I haven't had a lot of opportunity for spontaneous thrill in my life. I'm really sorry if it upset you, but you really didn't seem to mind at the time."

"Just be glad you didn't pick me," Allison grumbled. "I'd have smacked you."

"Oh?" Erica asked, and without preamble or hesitation pulled Allison into a close embrace and laid lips on her.

"MMMMPH!" Allison squeaked. She made to push Erica away, but Erica grabbed the black girls' wrists and drew herself even closer, prolonging the kiss. After a few seconds, she backed off and let go of Allison's hands.

"Smack me if you want to, baby," Erica said seductively. "It was worth it."

Allison drew back for a moment, but Erica didn't flinch. Then she dropped her hand. "Don't do that again," she said softly.

Erica's face fell. "Aw hell. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that. Listen, we've all been drinking a lot, I just wasn't thinking."

Allison looked angry for a moment, then smiled and waved it off. "Forget it," she said. "I'll live."

"Hmm," Sam mused, looking around the room. "That takes care of me, Suki, Eric, Allison, Jo, and Anita. Who's left here that hasn't been kissed yet?"

All eyes turned to Cathy, still by the light switch. "Now, wait a minute -"

"Eric?" Sam called. "The bottle."

Erica grabbed the empty vodka bottle next to the punch and tossed it to her sister.

Sam lay the bottle on the floor. "I'm sure we all know the rules to this one," she said with a wicked grin, and gave the bottle a spin.

It stops on...
