They suggest a massage instead

"Let's go for a massage," Brooke said. "I feel like a treat."

"But..." Amanda wanted to ask more questions, but the subject was so awkward she couldn't **** out the words. They'd thrown money on the table and started toward the door, forcing her to do the same. She looked back with yearning at the stack of cash, and felt so much poorer after parting with so much money.

"This time you won't sneak away on us," Lindsey said, grabbing Amanda's arm. "You're getting a massage too."

Amanda forgot all about the stories they'd just been telling her. "No... But... How much was it again?"

Lindsey waved off the question, unconcerned with money. Unlike Amanda she had plenty of it to blow on anything she wanted. "Maybe you'll get Bruce. He's got the most amazing hands!"

"I don't think..."

"That's right, don't think, it ruins the experience. Deirdre, how delightful. I do hope you have some opening we might be able to squeeze into? We're all sooo tense right now..." Lindsey cooed to the woman behind the counter.
