They run into his friends

As Charlie and James headed down the sidewalk towards the next store, James noticed a bunch of guys sitting outside one of the restaurants. “Hey, James. What’s up, man?” one of the guys said as he noticed him approaching.

James could feel himself getting nervous already as he recognized the guys from the football team. “Hey, Chris,” James said. “Celebrating the big win?”

“Sure am,” Chris said. “Hey, Charlie. Making James pay for you?”

Charlie grinned as the guys quickly noticed the shopping bag she was holding. “Well, boys, what can I say? I’ve got to reward James for his incredible performance somehow.”

James squirmed as the guys chatted a bit before they finally continued to walk. Charlie formed an evil grin as she eyed James’s pants. It would be so easy…
