5th period math class was just starting, and Anne had made her way to her seat. As she sat down, however, she stood up again with a sudden yelp as she felt the coldness of the chair against her exposed bottom. She pulled the hem of her dress tightly about herself, casting a furtive glance around to see if anyone had noticed her reaction while carefully sitting down. She gave another yelp as Shiho leaned over from the next seat to whisper to her.

"You seem awfully jumpy today," her friend remarked. "Is everything okay?"

"Y-yes," responded Anne stiffly, her face flushed.

"Takamaki-chan," the teacher called out. "If you're done chatting with your friends, then perhaps you'll come and solve the problem at the front of the room." The class giggled.

Anne's face reddened further. Carefully she made her way to the front of the room, feeling her classmates' eyes on her. Was it just her, or did the room feel breezier than usual? She clutched the hem of her dress with whitened knuckles, recoiling at every movement of air through the open windows. She carefully stepped up to the platform in front of the board, mortified that if she reached too high or bent forward that she'd give the front row a free show.

"Well?" repeated the teacher, impatiently.

Anne looked at the question on the board. She didn't recognize any of it. She quickly surveyed the classroom nervously. Joker was asleep. Shiho looked on, worried. "Well, you see..."

Several seats over, she saw Ryuji holding up a piece of paper. It looked like it could be math. But Ryuji didn't strike her as particularly bright.
