No! Oh dear Hera...

The overconfident heroine breezes through the doorway, shoving the double doors open with her arms stretched out to her side. Her eyes fail to adjust quickly enough to the difference in light from one room to the next, and she doesn't react quickly enough when the sleazy fellow in the suit, with his gun already drawn, fires a shot!

"Ooffpp..." the heroine grunts, shoved back by the bullet. Vinnie's a good shot; the bullet went right for Wonder Woman's belly, puncturing the thin red material of the costume, easily penetrating her layers of tummy fat and ending up deep inside her midsection. She staggers back and lands on her ass, her back slamming against one of the double doors.

"Oohhhh...," Wonder Woman moans. She's in shock, both physically and emotionally. She's accustomed to using her feminum bracelets to deflect bullets with superhuman speed. She's never been subjected to the experience of a bullet piercing her flesh!

Vinnie carefully approaches the wounded Amazon, his gun still at the ready. "So," he says, sneering at the downed heroine, "it's da famous Wondah Woman!"

Wonder Woman stares blankly, her hand holding her bleeding belly. She looks up at Vinnie, and tries to say no, or please, or something.

Vinnie just grins and raises his gun, aiming straight at the helpless heroine.
