The teasing begins

“Awww,” Megan cooed. “Look at the little baby Lexi. All diapered up like a baby. Oh my, I have footage of everything.”

“Hahaha,” Heather said. “So do I. Oh my God, Lexi. I can’t believe I ever was friends with a loser like you. If I had known you were a baby freshman year. I would never have hung out with you.”

Alexa whimpered. “Oh we should invite more people,” Zoe said. “I’m sure Rose wouldn’t mind. I have a few people in mind for the guest list.”

“I don’t know guys,” Michelle said. “Hasn’t Alexa been through enough?”

“Are you kidding?” Megan said. “Don’t you remember what Alexa did during high school? Sure she might be different now, but we remember. Poor Charlotte was so embarrassed she dropped out of school.”

Alexa looked down in shame. She didn’t like talking about her time as a bully. Michelle had gone to a different high school. She felt alone and hung out with the wrong crowd and fell to bullying behavior. She did **** Charlotte into diapers utterly humiliating her. She had never talked about it with Michelle. She was too ashamed. “I didn’t go to high school with Alexa,” Michelle said. “I transferred schools senior year because of the special program.”

“Oh…” Heather said. “Then you don’t know.”

“Know what?” Michelle asked.

“I’m sure she painted us as the bullies,” Megan said. “But it’s far worse. Sure we sometimes teased Alexa, but… we never took it so far as Alexa did.”

“What are you talking about?” Michelle asked.

“Wait!” Alexa cried. “Please, don’t. I didn’t… I didn’t mean to…”

“You meant all of it,” Heather said. “I told you to stop, but you insisted. You **** Charlotte to wear diapers to school and **** her to wet herself. And even worse than that you invited her to a sleepover and humiliated her in front of all of the cheerleaders. She dropped out the next day.”

Alexa’s face paled. Michelle looked at Alexa. “Tell me that’s not true, Alexa. You would never do that. You know how embarrassed that made you feel. You would never do that to another person,” Michelle said.

Alexa whimpered. “It’s… it’s true…” Alexa cried. “I was a bully. I’m sorry, Michelle. I… I regret everything.”

Michelle stared at Alexa in disbelief. “I kept your secret. I defended you against these girls. But… but you… you bullied another girl? How could you? Why?”

Alexa looked at Heather who had a smirk on her face. “Because I… because… I was scared. I was scared of people finding out the truth,” Alexa said. “I was afraid… because I was alone.”

Michelle couldn’t look at Alexa. “Alexa, when this is over, we’re going to have to talk about all of this, but for now…”
