Showing what it's made of

Just like Rachel was staring at the giant insectoid that had captured her, the creature seemed to be mildly bewildred itself over it's alien prey. Slowl and cautiously, almost as if expecting her to suddenly break free and jump at it, the monstrosity moved in a wide circle around it's strung up prey, meanwhile making some kind of clicking and sniffling noises as if tasting the air around her.

Finally it was back in front of her again, but daring itself closer now and poking her carefully with one of it's oversized mandibles...

"Okay, this is it..." Rae whispered to herself and closed her eyes as the creature touched her again, it's wide and fanged jaw making her shiver as it came so close to her skin that she could feel it's breath. "Once it's realized that I'm not poisonous, it's simply gonna eat me raw!"

Nothing seemed to happen for the next few moments however, and finally she opened her eyes again to find the creature still watching her intensively from just a few feet away. It's wicked head was now in level with her own, and the hint of intelligence she could see in it's multitude of coal black eyes scared her almost as much as the shape of the creature itself. Intelligence, perhaps like that of a cat or similliar beast, could mean it was likely to play with it's prey, rather than simply killing it right away!

"Please no! Just don't let me suffer!" She pleaded, just barely enough for the creature to hear, and she was surprised to see it back away one step at the sound of her voice. Of course it wasn't much of a chance, but for better or worse it couldn't really get any worse from trying it, right? "Heeeeelp! Please god, heeeelp meeeee!"

At first the creature scuttled further backwards as the girl started screaming at the top of her lungs, it's heavy head swinging from side to side as if trying to decide whether to run or hide. But then it snapped back again and seemed to glare at it's prey while Rae was **** to take a deep gasp for breath. Sure enough it didn't seem to like any high pitched noises, but it was still far from enough to get it on the run... Instead the creature advanced on her again, even while she let out another one of her cries for help, and a sudden leap forwards left her gasping in shock as her entire view was blocked out by the monster's body, and the trees she was stretched out between started creaking and swaying with it's weight...
