A secret revealed

Xander finished his changes and he wrote a note to himself that just said World Processor. If he could remember this existed he could change so much more than just a few words.

As he put the laptop down he glanced down at the piece of paper in his hand, wondering why he was holding it. Had he written a note he'd forgotten?

Nope, it was just blank. Oh well. He needed to get to school. Giles had something he needed to inform them all about.

The Harvest

Scene: Library - Giles/Willow/Buffy/Xander - Willow explains that she “accidentally” hacked the files, Xander’s joke of “someone’s been naughty” is (-unnoticed) (+noticed) [7]. Buffy realizes that the tunnel access is in the mausoleum, then criticizes herself for being stupid. Xander wants to go, but Buffy (+agrees) [8] explains she is the (-Slayer) (+leader) [9]. Xander feels (-inadequate) (+motivated) [10].

“So, all the city files are just on the computer?” Giles asked, surprised.

“I sort of stumbled on them when I accidentally decrypted the city’s security system,” Willow explained sheepishly.

“Someone’s been naughty,” Xander joked.

Willow shifted in her seat. Xander’s jokes always turned her on. She tried to calm down her feelings as Buffy began to rant about how this wasn’t helping. Then she had a sudden realization about where the entrance might be. For a second, Willow wanted to jump in about Buffy not being stupid, she dealt with self-criticism from Xander enough, but missed the moment.

“So we saddle up,” Xander suggested.

“This is dangerous,” Buffy told him. “You sure?”

“I mean if we don’t succeed, the town is overrun, and we die then,” Xander answered. “I’d rather try and do something about it.”

“Okay, you’re with me.”

“Buffy,” Giles cut in, “The Slayer’s work…”

“Don’t give me that, Giles,” Buffy said firmly. “Yes, Xander could get hurt. I trust him to watch my back. We are…no jokes about watching my back, Xander.”

Xander shut his mouth and mumbled, “Noted.”

“We are better as a team,” Buffy finished. “You and Willow look for information in case we don’t find anything.”

Giles nodded his head. It wasn’t how a Watcher was supposed to behave, but he didn’t plan to be a typical Watcher, “Very well. Be safe.”

“Ready?” Buffy asked Xander.

“Absolutely,” he replied confidently.

World Change: Buffy is clearly the leader of the group.

Deleted Scene: Outside School - Flutie/Buffy – Buffy is caught trying to leave campus and verbally admonished. The gate is, but she jumps over it. Deleted

Prior Change Alters Scene:

“And where are we going?” Principal Flutie asked.

Before Buffy could speak, Xander cut in, “Allergic reaction.”

Instantly the Principal’s behavior changed, “What?”

“Buffy had some…carrots, sorry we didn’t know about her rare carrot allergy,” Xander explained.

“Yeah, sorry, my eyesight is awful because of it,” Buffy added.

“Well how severe is it?”

“Life threatening,” Buffy said and she heard Xander groan beside her.

“Oh my God, we should call an ambulance!”

“No,” Xander quickly cut in. “You have to keep mobile with someone to support you when you have a carrot allergy. Uh, Willow told us. As long as I walk her to the hospital she’ll be fine. Though…every second we stand here the possibility of a serious medical incident…”

“Yes, go, go!” Flutie said as he practically pushed them out.

“Thanks,” Buffy said as they got away.

“Yeah, a lifetime of making excuses to get out of school.”

“What happens when he goes to look it up?”

“Don’t worry, we’ll get Willow to make a fake page and send it to him. Like I said, lifetime of doing this.”

Delete Scene: School Hallways - Xander/Willow - Xander and Willow cooperate on words to search for to determine the source of the Apocalypse. Xander criticizes himself for being useless, Willow says she doesn’t want him getting hurt. Xander doesn’t notice and instead focuses on how strange things have gotten. Delete

New: With Xander also gone, Willow contemplates things.

Willow mused over her list of words. She needed to search the old newspapers and wanted a broad search. This was the kind of thing Xander was great at even if he didn’t realize it. She really wanted him here.

She sighed and hoped he was okay. He was everything she wanted. Nice, funny, someone she had grown up with. It turned her on just thinking about the things he did.

Her thoughts were interrupted as Cordelia and her gaggle of popular girls walked down the hall. She licked her lips as she watched them go.

She hated those thoughts. She loved Xander. He turned her on all the time. But there was something about the female form…

No, she wasn’t supposed to have those thoughts. Not about Buffy, or Ms. Calendar, especially not Cordelia.

And it wasn’t like Cordy turned her on. She really didn’t. Her behavior, her bullying, it always reminded her how much she hated her.

Scene: Sewers - Xander/Buffy - Xander convinces Buffy to allow him to accompany her. Xander is darkly comforted by Buffy’s past stories of vampire Slayage. They end up trapped in a room and Buffy needs Xander’s help to close a large door. They escape through a vent, with Xander having to grab Buffy’s (-torso) (+top) [11] and pull her the last bit of the way. They collapse (-next) (+on) [12] to each other, exhausted.

“Xander!” Buffy said as her ankle was grabbed.

He quickly turned around and grabbed the first thing he came in contact with, her shirt. Buffy felt the vampire pulling her back down. “Pull!”

“But…”

“Pull!”

Xander did as instructed and yanked hard. Buffy came free of the vampire’s grip as its hand hit the sun, but so did her shirt.

Buffy landed on top of Xander. “Oof, sorry,” she murmured as she sat up.

Xander was greeted with a sight of her naked tits. Buffy didn’t notice until she felt something harden beneath her.

“I guess you’ve seen everything now,” Buffy said as she helped him to his feet.

“Um, yeah, sorry,” Xander murmured. Buffy made no effort to cover herself, enjoying his eyes, but he turned away. Like a gentleman he took of his shirt and passed it to her.

“Thank you,” Buffy said as she slipped it on. He was a great friend, which she was glad to have, but for her ruined the sexiness of the moment. Which was unfortunate, because feeling what was in his jeans…

Well, some things just weren’t meant to be.

Meanwhile, Xander sighed, and wondered what he could do to impress Buffy. Now that he had seen her body he wanted her more than ever.

Scene: Computer Lab - Cordelia/Harmony/Willow - Cordelia and Harmony talk about going to the Bronze, struggling with their computer programming, and how weird Buffy is. Willow stands up for Buffy as a friend and good person. Cordelia bullies Willow in response and calls her boring. Old History: Willow tricks Cordelia into deleting her work. New History (Observant Cordelia): Willow fails to trick Cordelia. (+notices Willow’s arousal) [15].

“Press deliver,” Willow suggested.

“Deliver where is the…” Cordelia began to say. “Wait.”

“Oh, is it this one?” Harmony said excited.

“No,” Cordelia quickly cut in. “Don’t touch anything.”

Harmony sat there confused as Cordelia bolted out of the room.

“You, stop,” Cordelia said as she chased after Willow.

“What?” Willow asked as she turned and was backed up against a locker.

“You were trying to get me to delete my project,” Cordelia accused.

“What, I wasn’t…” Willow tried to defend, but Cordelia was ranting. It also didn’t help that Willow had shrunk down as she was cornered, and so she was staring right at Cordy’s giant breasts.

“Hey, are you listening?” Cordelia said when she realized Willow wasn’t reacting.

“What?” Willow said as she raised her eyes. “Yeah, of course.”

Cordelia leaned forward, the girl was covered in a deep blush. Not the blush of embarrassment but it was…

“Fuck,” Cordelia cursed as she took a step back. “You’re a fucking dyke.”

“What? No, of course not,” Willow protested.

Cordelia was already headed backpedaling toward the computer lab.

Willow let out a small sob as she looked down at the research she had printed out. World in danger, she told herself. Got to focus on that.

World Change: Cordelia spreads the idea that Willow is gay.

Scene: Library - Giles/Willow/Buffy/Xander - Xander and Buffy return. Important Statement: Xander declares that vampires are not good. Giles explains about the Harvest and that the Master has been trying to bring about the Apocalypse, but ended up stuck between dimensions. Xander figures out that the vampires are going to the Bronze.

“I don’t like vampires,” Xander said after kicking the trash can. “Take a stand and say they’re not good.”

“Yeah, I’ll second that,” Willow agreed. She’d come to that conclusion as well, vampires were the enemy, is was as simple as that.

“Is that all you have Slayer?” Darla said as she pushed her back against the wall.

“I’m just getting started,” Buffy said as she wiped a drop of blood off her lips.

Darla licked her lips at the sight, “Please, you’re as done as your clothing.”

Buffy glanced down, her clothing had been torn during their fight and one breast was hanging out. But she wasn’t the only one, “I’ve done more to you.”

Darla looked down, Buffy had ripped the school girl skirt she had been wearing off and her panties were barely hanging on, “Yeah, intentionally. I’m beginning to think you want something more than a fight. You know, when you try and stake a female vampire, you don't have to pull her breasts to the side. Not that I minded your hands on my tits. What do you say, let’s call a truce and try a different way to tire each other out. Say an hour?”

“Let’s make it two,” Buffy said as she threw the stake to the side.

As they approached to kiss she heard a clicking sound in her ear, “Hey, Buff, movies?”

She shook her head, Xander was snapping his fingers to get her attention, “What?”

“Movies this weekend?”

“Oh, yeah, that sounds great,” she replied. And it did sound great, she just wished the timing of the invite had been a little different.

Scene: School Quad- Giles/Willow/Buffy/Cordelia - Buffy is amused listening to Cordelia's altered description of last night’s events. (Alteration (Observant Cordelia), she knows what happened, but is covering it up). Xander is amazed at how people behave. Giles points out that they are protecting the world from numerous supernatural threats. Instead of being concerned, Xander, Buffy, and Willow have a casual conversation; Buffy fantasizes about Darla [19].
