Unnecessary Paranoia

The Buneary's paws clenched lightly into a fist as she quivers a bit. "I... I can't." she stated closing her eyes as to not look at the Espeon's gaze. "You could've done something... poison, sleep powder, I don't know, but I just can't drink it." she said to her. "I can't do it just for the herbs." she kept her eyes closed for a little while, not willing to look her in the eye.

"I see..." she heard the Espeon's voice speaking to her. Rachael finally opens her eyes and saw that the Espeon wasn't staring at her with a look of disappointment. "That's a shame." she added, picking up her tea and taking a sip.

Rachael looked downward to the floor. Considering that your sister is sick, you all can't just continue on at this rate. They'll have to return to camp and let her heal up before they can try again. 'Maybe Rai knows how to get across the river. Vargus did show him anyway.' she thought as she stared at the cup of tea she refused to drink from.

"Honestly, I'm disappointed in you Rachael. If you're so suspicious of me after all of this, how can you expect to stop this crisis?"

Rachael was about to answer that question, but she paused before she can speak. 'Wait, I never told her my name, or why am I out here...'

"You're right, you didn't." she stated, and Rachael looked up and intended to stand up, but she found her body remaining in a sitting position, her eyes expressing dread as she saw that the Espeon's eyes were glowing. Rachael tries to move any part of her body, but she was as still as a statue.

"My Psychic is capable of making anyone still, even unable to speak." she stated calmly, moving her cup down as she surrounded her tea set with her power and moved them off the small table and places them on a larger one. "In case you were hoping your Grovyle companion can help, don't. I can render him unable to move as well."

It was then that Rachael realized the situation. If she wanted to harm them or keep them away, she wouldn't have to do something like poison their drinks if she can render them helpless from that distance.

"So you finally realized it? Unfortunately you're too late. You've shown me that you're far too paranoid and fearful to recognize safe to dangerous individuals. Someone like you wouldn't last long in this world, so I'll grant you a merciful end."
