Jean is shaken

The next day, Jean was a total wreck. She was nervous, insecure. She kept thinking everything was a backhanded mockery or slight. She also kept feeling like she was naked! She'd look down and be fully clothed, but then a moment later it would happen again, and she'd be sure she was nude! She also felt growing insecurity that Scott was attracted to Emma, due to Emma's superior body.

Emma seemed to be aware of Jean's feelings (in fact she was). She seemed to say everything as gloating mockery, smiling smugly at Jean who couldn't help but blush and cross her arms over her chest, feeling inadequacy. These were feelings that had been there, under the surface, but Emma's midnight meddling had brought them to the surface.

Things became even worse that night for Jean. Emma waited until Jean was asleep, her defenses down and invaded Jean's dream. This time there was hardly any difficulty at all to enter Jean's mind. Jean might be a more powerful psychic, but now that Emma had an in accessing and manipulating Jean's dreams was child's play...
