Anderson Crane Company

You turn another corner and suddenly your eyes spot the perfect building. It is a two story building made of cinderblock, only a large metal garage door on the bottom, and windows for what look like offices on the top floor. The remnants of a sign that says Anderson Crane Company hangs from the top of the building, but overall the building looks mostly undamaged. The lot is surrounded with a chain link fence that is topped with barbed wire. There are windows all around the 2nd floor building for a clear line of sight in any direction.

You tell the girls that this building looks good, it is miles away from the mall and hopefully you can make it defensible against any assailants. The three of you quickly move your stuff into the upstairs; there are two separate offices and a large central room that will serve as kitchen/living room for the three of you. You set up in one of the offices and the two girls in the other.

Grace says to you as you finish unpacking, "Can we make a fire, Alex? We stink badly and I would like some hot water to clean up with."

You answer her quickly, "I don't think that would be a good idea, the smoke might show the Colonel's men where we are and I don't think any of us want that. Let me look around a few buildings here and see if we can find a way to make a fire that won't smoke much, we will need to be able to head water and cook. Maybe some really dry wood won't make much smoke."

Grace gives you a big smile and answers, "Whatever you say, Alex you're in charge. She looks incredibly sexy as she says this and you can feel your cock stirring. Damn, you think to yourself try to stay alive and worry about the pussy later. Besides what will Tomi think? She might be pissed since she fucked you last night and the last thing you need is the two girls not getting along. Breaking away from your sexy thoughts you say to them, "Come on let's do a quick inventory of the building and grounds and see what we have got. Then we can check the nearby homes and get any food that might still be there. We need to locate all the food we can very soon. Winter is coming and we will need to prepare.

You head down to the ground floor with the girls in tow. There are two tow trucks there, a couple of other random pickup trucks, all with Anderson Crane on the door, and all kinds of tools and other pieces and parts of machinery. You realize that this is probably a treasure trove of useful stuff, but you have never been very handy. You also realize that you have to become handy if you want to live through the winter.

Tomi spots the cylinders first, you hear her say, "What are those, they look like propane tanks."

You turn and look and sure enough there is a stack of propane tanks in piled up against the wall. They must have used them in some part of the business. You walk up to them and find that they all seem to be full, there are dozens. "Well now we have a way to heat and cook in the short run, and it should be pretty much smokeless."

Tomi spoke up again, "But we don't have any real source of water. We have the bottled water and other drinks, but no water for washing, ourselves or our clothes."

"Well that is something that we are going to have to take care of very soon, I'm going to check out some of the houses that are in the neighborhood behind this building. I want to look and see if there is food there, and anymore weapons. Why don't you guys work on getting our gear squared away, and make finish looking around this warehouse to see what other useful things might be about."

Tomi and Grace both agree and you head out to scout the nearby home before darkness falls. You have four or five hours so there should be time to get a sense of how the neighborhood might provide for your small group.
