Cana was Encourage

“And full house baby” Honest said as he showed his hand.

“Damn it” Cana yelled as she threw her cards at the table. She was obviously plastered seeing 8 barrels of beers.

It has been a week since Honest had made contact with Cana and used his magic to have her gain Proud Gambler. So from now on she will have a hard time turning down a good game of chance. Sadly she was better then he had expected so after losing 100,000 jewels he added a High Risk Low Gain quirk. In other words she will lean more into the thrill of it rather the outcome.

“Alright double or nothing” Cana said demanding to go another round.

“Sorry Cana but you don’t have any jewels left and I don’t take IOU’s” Honest says knowing full well what will happen next.

Before Cana could say anything she felt a slight headache.

The day before Gildarts left for the 100 year quest he could be seen chatting up a storm with Natsu. She never liked Natsu he was always hogging her daddy’s attention. She then accidentally over hears them talking about his accomplishments

“So after gambling all my money away I was left with nothing” Gildarts said.

“So what did you do” Natsu asked with enthusiasm.

“I did what any proud Clive would do” Gildarts said very loudly.

Cana waiting in anticipation for his answer.

‘This could be my opportunity’ Cana thought.

“I raised the stakes so I betted the clothes on my back” He declared.

Cana was surprised in amazement to hear that her father has such great determination.

“Did you won” Natsu asked with excitement.

“Of course I did..but let me tell you something I did not matter” he said surprising both Natsu and Cana.

“It didn’t matter” Natsu and Cana thought/said.

“A true Clive honors their word and bets so if I would have lost I would have walked through Magnolia butt naked with my head held high” he says with a smug grin.

“What really?” Natsu asked.

“I doesn’t matter what people say, I would have accepted any outcome. If I would have come home naked most would call it a the walk of shame. But not to me, I would have call it the walk of honor and did my family name proud”
