AN - Safe and sound

The cruise is shockingly casual about the whole pirate thing. The crew throws the **** pirates back onto their boat and sends them on their way… almost as though this was all planned to make the cruise more exciting. Classic Disney. As you stand there, your eyes narrowed suspiciously as your athlete’s mind considers that possibility, you also notice that Ana is a terrible actress.

“Oh, what a coincidence,” she says, feigning shock as Fareeha and Angela rush to her.

“Mother! Are you OK?” Fareeha demands.

“Ana! I haven’t seen you throw a punch like that in years,” Angela adds, looking impressed. “You could have at least patched them up.”

For just a second, Ana looks furious. She opens her mouth but stops herself. You breathe a sigh of relief. What would she have said? “You could have said something to me before you preyed on my daughter, Angela!” You can picture Ana yelling that right back at her. Or something like that, probably… but Ana probably knows the truth by now: Angela didn’t prey on anyone.

You, a horny younger woman, thirstily and persistently pursued an attractive older one.

Fareeha must have done the same thing. Ana has to realize it.

Luckily, she plays nice. There’s no graceful escape for her. She has to let the captain of the ship do a toast to her, and she has to sit with Fareeha and Angela for the feast while you stay in the background. Fareeha knows that her mom is here, but she doesn’t know about you. You have to keep it that way.

“Why didn’t you tell us you were coming on this cruise?” Fareeha is asking.

“Why didn’t you tell me that you were having sex with my old friend?” Ana probably wishes she could reply. Instead, she says: “How was I to know you would be here?”

So it goes. You have to get out of here so you aren’t spotted, so you just head back to the bar to finish your drink.
