Amy wakes you up

You wake up the next morning hearing your phone ring. You mumble hello, and hear Amy's voice on the other end. "Rise and shine, valentine," she says. "Time for work."

"Does the weekend have to be over already?" you ask.

"Yes, it does, unfortunately," she says. "We'll see each other at lunch, I'm sure."

You get to work and the day seems to drag by. Even though you like your job, your mind keeps drifting back to Amy. "She's simply amazing," you keep thinking to yourself. About 12:20 your spectralink rings, making you jump out of your skin. It's Amy. "I was wondering if you could go to lunch at 12:30," she says.

"No, my time for lunch is 1:00. My boss goes to lunch at 12:30," you say, disappointed, thinking you won't be able to have lunch with Amy.

"OK, it's no problem," Amy says. "I'll go to lunch at 1:00. None of the other nurses go to lunch at 1:00, so it will work. Meet me in the cafeteria" Your heart leaps in your chest as she says this, and the next 40 minutes seem to draw out like a blade. Finally, at 1:00, you go to the cafeteria and meet Amy and one of her friends for lunch.

You take her in your arms and kiss her gently on the lips. "I've been thinking about you all day," you say to her.

"Same here, I can't keep my mind off you," she says.

"She can't shut up about you, either," her friend says. "All we've heard is John this and John that since she came in this morning!"

Amy laughs and says, "Crystal, this is my friend, John."

"Obviously," Crystal says flatly.

"A pleasure," you say as you check her out. She's about 5'5", long, straight blonde hair, nice 32 b's to match her 28" waist and 32" hips.

"The pleasure's mine," she says, smiling at you.

"What are we doing for lunch, John?" she demands.

"Let's see what's in the cafeteria," you suggest.

You look in the cafeteria and nothing appeals to you. "Let's go to Arby's," Crystal says.

"Ok," you and Amy say together. You get a number 14 with a coke. Amy gets the same thing, and Crystal simply gets a Coke. "I've been snacking all day," she explains.

The three of you sit down and eat, talking like you've been friends for years. You look at your watch and realize your lunch is almost up. "I need to get going," you say.

Amy says, "We do too."

You dump your garbage and head back to work. Amy kisses you on the lips, gently biting your bottom lip as she does. "Come see me before you leave," she whispers, gently squeezing your bottom.

The rest of the day seems to take an eternity to pass. Finally, you get the last computer working that had problems, and zoom up to see Amy. "We might have some company tonight," she says. "It's up to you, but Crystal wants to come over."
