"You don't need to worry, plenty of girls just go around in sports bras during the summer heat!" Nate reassured her cheerily. "I bet you'd look fantastic in one! Go for it!"
"Oh... um... okay..." Samantha replied uncertainly. She still wasn't sure about this, but something inside her said that this would be a good idea...

"Alright ladies, get your shirts in the box and head to the checkpoint for a quick drink," Coach O'Shea ordered them. She had been watching the two of them closely since they had started their laps, noting that Samantha had fallen behind and Nate was keeping her company.
