Someone in Your Room

"Gaaah!" you scream as you spring up in your bed in a cold sweat.

You were having one of those nightmares where you're in a very familiar setting but everything seems just a bit off. You had the sense during it all that someone was watching you. But every time you turned to look there was never anyone there.

You didn't remember the exact specifics of the dream, but it had been very unsettling. It was probably just first day nerves. But as you gradually regained your senses, you still couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching you.

You blink a few times and squint into the darkness, where you catch sight of what looks like someone or something in the corner of your room.

"Hello?" You call out to the figure. "Who's there?"

Not getting a response, you steel your nerves as you decide to get out of bed and approach the figure. After all, you're a superhero. It would be pretty pathetic to get worked up over what is probably just the shadows playing tricks on your eyes.

As you stand up, however, the figure emerges from the shadows.
