Sebastien rolled to the side, pulling Lindsay next to him, her face nuzzled in the spot between his shoulder and his neck. She draped her arm over him, her breath pushing her body against his in a way that he found both sensual and relaxing. He ran his fingers through her hair, pleased at the way she rubbed her head against his hand, and was reminded of the way a cat will rub against its owner while being pet.

?You seem to be taking this whole thing very well,? he said at last, ?being bought and sold like an animal. What's going on inside that pretty little head of yours??

She pulled herself up and looked him in the eyes, seeing not pity but genuine curiosity. She placed her head on his chest and took a deep breath before she spoke. ?I dunno,? she said, ?I guess I just wanted to go crazy, you know? After leaving home I just sort of wanted to explore the freedom that I had found, figure out who I was. I tried the college party thing, and I had some fun, but it just wasn't doing it for me, so I started looking for something else. I borrowed some money, wandered around Europe for a couple of months, just kinda went wild, but none of it seemed to do the trick.?

?So anyway,? she continued, ?I guess when the money ran out, I just wasn't ready to stop. I mean, I had already missed pretty much the entire term, and there wasn't really any reason to go back, but I just didn't have any idea where to go next.
