Chapter 42 by laverinthe

At last, your intended destination. . . right?

Right

The room Imari led you to is dimly lit and bigger than you thought. There’s a reception desk on the far wall. It looks like if you stay in the aisles, you should be hidden from any passerby’s. There are a total of 13 ceiling high shelves side by side. They’re on tracks so you can move them to get to the one you need by turning a wheel on the side. “Here, you should be in this row,” she turns one of the wheels and opens up the middle aisle, “fifth row from the top, I’ll keep an eye out.” She takes her place up front at the desk while you head down the aisle. They’re arranged alphabetically so it doesn’t take you long to find your name. You pluck the generic manila folder from its resting place. It’s pretty thick considering it’s only been three days. You open up the file and begin scanning the pages.

A lot of the stuff is just lab results and medical mumbo jumbo that you can’t make out, despite seeing all of those episodes of House. After flipping through a few pages, you find the doctors personal notes.

Let's see what his thoughts on the matter are
