Your first date with Carmen

By the time you had settled on a a date for your date with Carmen two weeks had passed. You were moderately excited for this date, given how it would kick off a series of dates with five attractive young women. Carmen was the oldest of them, though you didn't know her exact age. However, she was not the least in any way. She was tall, beautiful, and quick to smile. When you met her in front of the restaurant she'd picked out, she was all smiles already.

"Hey, Carmen" you said, "you look amazing."

"Aw, thanks John!" she replied, "I'm happy you dressed up, too."

"I feel like a penguin" you joked but when she took your arm you felt pretty good with her on it.

"What will you have, madam?" the waiter asked.

"Red wine please" Carmen said. The waiter nodded and turned to you.

"And you, sir?" he asked.

"Captain Morgan will do" you told him. Nodding he went off to get your drinks before leaving two menus with you.

"So, what made you pick me?" she asked. You shrugged. You didn't really have an answer to that.

"I'm not sure. Had to start somewhere, I suppose" you told her.

"So how old are you, John?" she asked.

"I'm 25 now. I know I'm not supposed to ask this of a lady, but what about you?" you asked.

This made Carmen smile. "I don't mind. I'm 23" she answered.

"What do you do?" you asked.

"I'm a third-years student over at Hobbes" she said. "I study Anthropology."

"Huh" you said, "no shit. I've never seen you there."

"You are at Hobbes too?" Carmen asked.

"Well, was until last month. Graduated" you told her.

"Oh, I wasn't there. You lastyears are such snobs" Carmen said with a giggle.

You snorted. "Speaking of snobs, how about professor Richter?" you asked.

"Oh God, he's worse than any lastyears" Carmen said.

You spent a good time talking about professor Richter until your drinks came and you ordered food.

"Such a perv too" Carmen added when the waiter had gone and she was sipping her wine.

"I wouldn't know" you replied, "nobody ever ogled me like that."

"I think you would, given how you've been ogling me for some time now" Carmen said with a knowing smile. Of course you had checked her out.

"I meant being on the receiving end" you said with a laugh. There was no use in lying.

"Well, I can ogle you if you want" Carmen said.

"It's only fair" you replied. "Ogle away."
