Later that night. . .

Despite your recent expenditures, you have trouble getting to sleep. Whenever you’re almost asleep, you hear a noise and would jump up, thinking it was one of those things. You’d have a hand on the grip of the gun before you even realized it. You almost pulled it on an orderly at one point who just wanted to see if you needed anything before he leaves for the night.

Well, since he’s offering, you ask if you could get your clothes back.  He nods and leaves.  Maybe when you get changed you can look around and try to get some damn answers.  He comes back a few minutes later with your clothes which are freshly laundered and neatly folded.  Your personal effects are resting on top of the pile in a plastic bag.  “Thanks,” you say, “hey, is it okay if I walk around for a bit?  I’ve been in bed for so long I need to stretch my legs.”  The orderly sadly shakes his head, “sorry, patients aren’t allowed to wander the halls at night.  You’ll just have to wait ‘til morning.”

Oh well, it was worth a shot.  You bid the orderly adieu and head into the bathroom to get changed.  You don your clothes, wincing a little as the fabric of your shirt grazes against your scratches.  When you’re situated, you leave the bathroom and consider your options.  According to the wall clock, it’s 3:41.  Most of the staff should be out for the night.  Except for the ER and maybe a skeleton crew, the halls should be pretty empty.  Maybe you could sneak a peek at your patient records, find out what the doctors are freaking out over.  You have no idea where that would be or even what to look for if you did, but the idea of sneaking around at night gives you a bit of a thrill. . .

Okay, your mind's made up.  It’s time to get your Bourne on.  Primary objectives: find your patient file, avoid detection, return to your room before your absence is discovered.  Secondary objectives: find a charger for your phone, check in with Hinako, maybe get a bite to eat.  Should you be caught or killed, the government will disavow any knowledge of your actions. . .
