Chapter 13 by toniskeeper toniskeeper

Remembering, or are you interrupted?

eighteen years and four weeks ago

"It's a boy!"
Jeff looked at his wife Brenda. Even through her sweat soaked, pained face, Jeff could see the fear in her eyes. "What about the curse?" she whispered.
"I don't know. None of the firstborn have ever been boys."
"We'll worry about it later. We have a son. Tony,"
Jeff gazed down at his wife as she held their newborn son in her arms. "Tony. I like that." He hoped that maybe the curse was finally broken.

The years passed and Tony Patterson grew into a healthy young boy. He joined the football team, excelled in Chemistry and Biology but not so much English and History. His parents were proud, but there was the ever present fear of the curse.

Tony never really understood this curse his family constantly talked about. All he knew was that a long time ago, one of his ancestors had been cursed, that his firstborn child and the firstborn children of all his descendants would be girls. And that when they became adults, they changed somehow. But he was his parents' first child and he wasn't a girl, so that must mean the curse wasn't real.

Change in time, again.
