Going out

You asked Rebecca to take you there the next day.

"Oh, really? And where do you think you're going?" she asked.

"Red Door" you said.

"With whom?" she asked with a knowing smile.

"Yes, with Molly" you answered.

"You dog. I was right. She did add her number to your cell or something" she said then squinted at you. "Then you talked last night and decided to go on a date. How close am I?"

"Scalding hot" you said with a grin.

"You dog" she repeated. "Alright, I'll take you." Her face then clouded. "Did you talk about going out this soon with her?"

"Hey, if anything goes wrong I'll have a nurse with me" you said with a smile.

"Alright, alright. But no ****" she told you. "With painkillers like the one you have that'd be a very bad idea."

"I thought you didn't really want to be a nurse?" you teased. Rebecca laughed and playpunched your shoulder.

"Just take care of yourself" she told you.

She repeated these words when she dropped you off at the Red Door. It was a pub much like any other, with beer, a dancefloor, and booths. The difference with others, though, was that there was half a floor given over to quiet conversation. At least, quiet insofar as people with a few drinks in them could be quiet. Thankfully, this quiet part was on the ground floor so you didn't have to go that far. When you arrived with your big sister she helped you out of the car and gave you a hug.

"Take care of yourself, okay?" she said.

"Again, the girl I'm meeting is a nurse" you reminded her.

"Alright, alright. I'll shut up now" she said as she put her hands on your shoulders. "Just be safe is all I'm saying."

"I will, Bec. No worries" you said with a smile. Nodding, your sister let go of you and waited for Molly to show up, just as you'd agreed on.

"Hi Molly" she said, spotting the nurse first.

"Hey Rebecca, John" Molly said, giving you a hug while smiling at Rebecca.

"Hi Molly" Rebecca said, grinning as she saw the hug. "Take care of my baby brother, okay?"

"Don't worry about it. I'm a nurse, remember?" Molly said as she hooked her arm through yours. Smiling you nodded.

"Yeah, Bec. She's a nurse, remember?" you said. Rebecca smiled back at you and nodded.

"I do. Take care, have fun, okay? Just text me when you're done" she said.

"Don't worry about it" Molly said. "I'll take him home."

"Yours or mine?" you teased.

"We'll see, Romeo" Molly said with a grin.

"Your sister's a really nice chick" Molly said.

"Yeah" you said, nodding. Then you smiled. "And we weren't even that close until a few months ago."

"Oh? What happened?" she asked.

"After her girlfriend broke up with her she came back home. I saw how bad she felt and felt sorry for her. I started working on our relationship after that and, well, you saw the results" you explained.

"You're a softy, aren't you?" Molly teased.

"Sometimes" you said with a shrug, feeling a blush come on.

"You're so adorable when you blush" she replied.

"Have you seen me blush before?" you asked.

"Well, no. But I can see that you are" Molly said. The nurse put her hand on yours. "I know that we may have gotten off on the wrong foot. That is, I made a different impression than I wanted to" she told you.

With a grin you shook your head. "Wrong? Not in the least. It was pretty good. Felt pretty good, anyway" you answered.

"Tease all you want" Molly said with a smile. "I'm not usually like that. It was my colleague Diana's fault" she added. "She got into my head and, well, I tried my best but I couldn't resist you."

"Yeah? Well, that's good" you said.

"I just wanted to clear the air, you know? You just got the best of me. Well, you and Diana. I'm going to be a normal young woman from now on" she said. You grinned.

"Oh, really now? So we're going to date normally from now on?" you asked.

"Yes. I won't give you head when we get back to wherever we're going" Molly said. "Though that doesn't mean we can't make out."
